Great skiing for our family. My family is learning to ski. Most the slopes were green and blue. The snow was awesome. Great base and all slopes were open. No waiting for chair lifts. I would repeat this ski experience. Everybody had a great time.

Awesome family ski resort. I have been skiing at Red River off and on since 1957. I used to ski there as a young man, then then took my boys skiing there, and now we take our sons families there. If you plan on doing Ski School make a reservation ahead of time. It is best to pay a little more and get the rental equipment at the lodge - easy to return and get fixed if you have a problem. Brautworst at the outside grill or on the mountain is great. They have done lots of great improvements over the years. All of our families will go back again - much cheaper than Colorado.

My family had a terrific experience at Red River Ski Area. Friendly, helpful staff. Extremely clean restrooms. Nice lifts. Well groomed runs.

I can't say enough good things about RRSA. I've skied other places including Telluride, Durango Mountain, Wolf Creek, and Ruidoso but RRSA is now my favorite. My 13 year old son took snowboarding lessons from Casey and Heather- he's still talking about how much fun he had. By day 3 he was proficient enough to board with his GoPro without injuring himself or it. Sledding was great- definitely worth the price, it's a must do activity. Lift lines were short, attendants were helpful and kind. From the parking lot attendant to the hosts who greet you on the steps- everyone was so friendly. This place has taken hospitality to another level- it was genuine, they were glad we were there. Thank you RRSA for helping this mom and dad connect with their teenager, we are back in the cool zone and we are already planning our trip back to you next year.

we enjoyed our stay in march 2015. we have been here SEVERAL times and have always enjoyed the family get away. there are so many shops for the teens to visit. at night, the kids are allowed in some of the bars to play pool or listen to the music WITH AN ADULT. this is one of the BEST value in ski areas around.

Quick weekend trip to ski, Red River was a good destination. Prices for lift tickets seemed to be reasonable. Food at the mountain was very pricey.

Red River is a hidden gem nestled in the beautiful Sangre De Cristo's! Just visited for my 4th time and had a great father and son ski trip! All the folks who work there make a special effort to smile and treat you like family! The lift operators do their best to greet you with a friendly hello and let you know they appreciate you being there. Love the atmosphere, views, staff, & great family skiing! They do a great job at grooming the slopes and keeping things nice! Will definitely go back in the future! :)

The snow was great! But the labeling of some of the slopes are deceiving! Some green are actually blue and some blue could be considered black! But a great time! Excellent instructors! But take your drinks because they are very expensive in the lodge.

Loved the snow, the short lift lines, and eating lunch at "the tip" restaurant at the top of the mountain, while looking at the blue skies, and mountains all around the area.

The ski area is wonderfully maintained and the staff extremely friendly. Everyone working the ski area and I do mean everyone, ticket staff, ski rental staff, lift operators, cafe workers, etc..., were all incredibly kind and helpful. The slopes were clean, well marked, and fun to ski!

Returned to Red River on what it becoming a yearly ritual. We really love the family atmosphere and slopes that are easy enough for once-a-year Texas skiers and still challenging enough for my husband. Looks like our granddaughter has become his ski partner while my daughter and I continue to hone our ski skills on the greens and blues.Special shout-out to Larry at the ski school. I did a group lesson and was lucky enough to get Larry who was mentoring Macy, a new instructor. I was also the only student in the Next Step class. We improved my turns tremendously and I can make it down the mountain now without jelly legs. Cannot wait until next year. We will be back.

Have been to Red River off and on for 30+ years. Winter is absolutely glorious there. No crowds, friendly locals and some of the best scenery anywhere in the Rockies.Took a "tune up" ski lesson with Bob; he was great. After Nat's accident a few years ago she became very hesitant on the slopes. Within an hour, Bob brought out her confidence again and we skied the blue (and even black) runs again for the rest of the trip.

We love skiing at Red River. Best Family ski joint around. My kids ski the mountain all day long and can walk to our condo. Family tradition

I grew up coming to Red River with my family and always had alot of fun. It's been several years, but I got to visit Red River this past weekend with my husband and his sister, nephews and Mom. I couldn't have asked for a better trip! Things started off great by booking a condo super close to the lifts at Claim Jumper though Red River Real Estate. Very helpful property managers and easy booking experience. We got our rentals at Sitzmark, but the folks at the Chalet were super helpful at several different points when we needed help. We put my nephews in a 3 hour private lesson the first day with Even (he was amazing!) and then they both did ski school the second day. We had perfect weather and great skiing conditions the whole time and have actually booked another trip for 2 weeks from now to come back with my family!

I have been coming to RR since I was little and now I'm able to bring my kids and we have had an amazing time. They have a great mix of green/blue runs that will keep you going all day long. My kids love it and look forward to coming back next year!
