It was hard to find the park, but after asking a few locals we found it off the marker of mile 17 1/2. The hike was short (0.7 km each way) but challenging due to the mud and sharp rocks. The scene was worth the challenge.Recommended.

This is a bit off the beaten track, find the small sign on Hummingbird Highway (past St. Herman's coming from Belmopan on the left had side), take a short hike to the waterfall (sometimes there's a ranger there for then 10BZD entrance fee) and then enjoy a swim underneath in this remote setting. On your way back to Belmopan stop at the Tamales place on the road where an old lady prepares Chicken Tamales

Billy Barquedier is worth a stop if you have a few hours, and want to hike a klick to a private little waterfall. It's located off the Hummingbird Highway - nowhere near Belize City; the address is wrong - in the Stann Creek district. There are 2 entrances, but you'll use the north entrance, where the tiny ranger station is, to get to the falls. It's worth a stop, and you might see some cool birds there too.The Protected Areas Conservation Trust has a short video about it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUJIJK-MSC8 - so you can see the trails and the falls. Have fun!
