Friendly and helpful staff. Intimate settings in the hot springs. Well maintained landscaping and clean hot spring pools. Good food. Also had vegetarian options.

Traveled here with some friends a couple of years back. The hot springs were very clean and a great place to sit back and relax, or have some fun on the water slides. Great time!

We were thinking about which of the many hot springs in La Fortuna we want to visit and decided to go to Paradise Hot Springs. Entrance fee is 23$ and the people at the entrance were very friendly and welcoming. They explained everything about the baths and then we could enter. The pools are nice and the surroundings, too. It looks natural. We had the pools to ourselves and it was very relaxing. We recieved towels and a locker. In the end, the woman at the entrance asked us about our stay and called us a taxi to La Fortuna.

The nicer hot springs was double but maybe I would have rather paid more. These were ok noting special. They looked better at night.

Paradise Hot Springs is lovely. If you are looking for a few thermal pools (approximately 7 different ones, not ranging too much in temperature for the mid range ones) and nicely kept grounds, this place will do the trick! We were greeted by David, who was extremely friendly and gave a very thorough explanation on the grounds and some of the health benefits to soaking in natural springs. You are given a locker and two towels (for a $10 USD deposit) to use, which is convenient. We stayed for approximately 2 hours on a rainy evening in La Forutna, which was a perfect activity to do. As commented by other reviewers, there are not a lot of people who come to this one, making the experience a romantic one. Recommended!

My extremely adorable girl friend and I decided to spend a relaxing afternoon at the paradise spa. I have to say value for money is amazing when you compare it to it's competitors and for what if offers I can't really see how it can be topped! There is a good selection of pools of varying warmth. The man at reception spoke flawless English and was fairly knowledgable of how the thermal spas worked! I have no complaints of the venue and the pools were great and relaxing! The only problem is due to the cheaper price we had an army of school children arrive half way through our visit. I also unfortunately caught a young couple coming dangerously close to fornicating in one of the pools! Although this is probably more of a criticism of their teachers supervision than the spa it's self! Besides this we had a great time relaxing and I can't really imagine how the other spas (over twice the cost) could top it! So to conclude if you want a thermal spa and don't have more money than sense, this is the spa for you!Thank you for reading my review!Mr. Lorenzo

We went to Paradise Hot Springs after a day of much hiking. The springs were so relaxing and refreshing , as well as beautiful! The evening meal was a presented buffet. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

Nice mix of hot & cool pools & jacuzzi's. Pretty scenery. Small buffet that is optional. They also have a small snack bar you can get food & drinks made to order. You pay a deposit for the towels & lockers, but easily get it back upon return. Nice view of the Arenal Volcano. Much smaller than other places but also much more affordable.

The only reason this hot spring did not rate higher is due to a large group of school students that happened to be there during our visit. The Paradise Hot Springs costs considerably less than its competitors such as Baldi or Tabacon. To me, I don't need 25 pools like the ones in Baldi so this establishment is more of my style. Unfortunately, there was a large group of students present during my visit so the experience was not as relaxed or tranquil. The water in two pools and the jacuzzis were not nearly as hot as I have hoped or expected. All in all it was a pleasant experience.

It was raining while I was there, and maybe that's why there weren't many people. Lunch was part of the package and it was adequate -- probably because I'm a vegetarian and didn't want the meat offered. But it was very pleasant to while away several hours moving from one pool to another.

The Paradise Hot Springs were part of our Ecoterra package. It was enjoyable, but nothing special. I would have liked the pools to have been more clearly marked as to their location and temperature. The food provided was good, but again, nothing special. The entrance staff was very good, but it went a bit downhill from there. There are bars located at the pools, but the one we visited had an employee who spoke no English at all, and even pointing seemed to be met with some difficulty.

We went to the bath on a rainy day and were for two hours the only guests. Later a few others came but it was still far away from being crowded. It's a small place with six pools of different temperature and size -for me that was enough to relax since everything was clean and the plants all around the pools gave the impression to be in the middle of a rainforest. The entrance of 23$ is reasonable and still less than in the other spas.

A visit to Paradise Hot Springs was included in our package through Ecoterra. We were dropped off around 5:30 and told they'd be back to pick us up at 8:40 p.m. We were over the hot springs after about an hour in the pools. After eating dinner we still had more than an hour to kill. My husband asked the front desk to call the tour company to see if they could pick us up early. After a number of calls between all the parties, the shuttle picked us up at 7:30. Guess the hot springs is just not our sort of thing.

My husband and I were staying at Arenal Observatory Lodge(AOL) (excellent place BTW) and wanted to go to a hot springs. We had heard of the 'free' one across from Tabacon but were a bit nervous about the fact we would have all our belongings with us. We wanted to go somewhere that wasn't As pricey and fancy as some and yet have a safe place for our belongings. Also a decent place to change for our trip to Tamarindo. One of the great guys at AOL told us that yes we could go to the natural area, he goes there but not to go at night. It's used for what should be done in private. He told us that he sends his relatives who come to visit to Paradise. I haven't seen the natural ones or the fancy ones but we totally enjoyed our very brief but relaxing and totally private time at Paradise. We were the only ones there! Usually we'd like to have people around, guess we like the vibe better, but for our time there it was great to be alone and have free run of all the wonderful spots they have! Next time, I should remember not to have coffee first cause I couldn't just sit and relax! If I go back to that area, I will def want to have more time! And the softening of my skin lasted at least a week!

We turned up not knowing what to expect - Paradise is next to the massive Baldi resort with its extreme waterslides and pumping Salsa and Disco music, but we found a really lovely haven. It's smaller than the previous hot springs we went to (Ecotermales La Fortuna), but we had the place to ourselves for an hour. They have 8 pools at different temperatures - the top one being very hot, and the waterfall in there being like having a kettle poured into a small bath (a memory from childhood and running out of hot water in the tank). We loved the place - their cocktails are awesome too -- check out their version of the non-alcoholic Pina Colada - fresh pieces of pineapple, coconut cream, ice and blend - perfection.
