A small zoo. Not too expectacular. Food is expensive, kids would love this place. Now they are closing Inbio, be aware of that.

I went with my son and we enjoyed our day. I think that it is a bit ridiculous that foreigners are charged more however. Our laws clearly states that all people are to be treated equally no matter where they are from or their migratory status. I feel that foreigners are taken advantage of and this is a discriminatory practice. Otherwise the tour is nice for a morning visit or to take a picnic and enjoy a stroll in the park there. I would avoid the food service there as I have heard hygiene is not of the utmost concern. When we went we took breakfast in MacDonalds and we had a late lunch at Taco Town. We got in early and enjoyed ourselves and the staff were friendly and my son enjoyed the petting zoo area. Its a good value for locals but if I had to pay the rates foreigners do I would most definitely pass.

We had a full day in San Jose before our tour of the country started, and visiting Inbio Parque was a great introduction to many of the plants and animals that we would later see in the wild. We took a guided tour and spent well over two hours walking the grounds learning about everything we saw. Not two minutes into our walk, we spotted our first iguana, which we continued to see throughout our visit. We also got a glimpse of our first sloth, lots of birds, a red squirrel, and then there were all of the animals in the exhibits. Our daughter especially enjoyed the butterfly garden (including having a blue morpho land on my nose!).

After visiting much better attractions throughout Costa Rica, we were underwhelmed with InBio Parque. There just wasn't much to see and experience for $25/pp. The use of recycled materials, however, was one of my favorite features of this park. They had a fence made of bicycle tires, a gate made of PVC, statues made of various parts, and more. I also enjoyed reading some of the signs made to accompany various park features but was surprised not to see any of the vegetation in the finca marked. I wondered what several of the plants were. The petting zoo was fun. I especially liked the baby goats, but I was disappointed they weren't with their mothers.

We have led several birding tours to Costa Rica and have started with a trip to InBio the first day. The guide was very informative and gave a good overview of Costa Rican wildlife and habitats that rounded out the experience and gave background to the participants. We didn't feel like the cost was excessive.

We went there with our two small kids and they loved it. Lots of little nice animals to see, for example a few "Bambis" as well as butterflies. Loved it!

It's a good place to know better about the biodiversity of CR and it's traditional life style without going far away

I liked the fiesta for Germans, which abounded in good european food, and pupusas from El Salvador, but not at all worth the exhorbitant price for non-nationals to get in. The permanent attractions are extremely limited and not attractive when compared with similarly priced tourist destinations in other parts of the country of Costa Rica. I have been taking my visitors to Inbioparque occasionaly many times and notice very few improvements over the years. Very disappointing overall.

Not great... but it's a nice park.I guess that being within the urban area it's probably one of the best options if you want to see some nature and do some trail walking.

A boring and super quick tour from a bored tour guide.A pretend concrete rainforest.Don't waste your money on the over priced admission

This is a good place to visit if you don't have a chance to explore all of CR. You can see all of the unusual plants that we have here. You will get to see some of the fauna that you would never see in the wild.Well worth a visit.

Costa Rica has many great parks, and Inbio Parque simply is not one of them. It is overrated, picture it between a small zoo and a playground. Kids may be entertained watching small animals and being able to walk among some of them. Events are hosted in this park that may be worth it, furthermore pay a visit if you have absolutely nothing to do and no better option.

We really enjoyed this down home but educational park, especially the "farm". We had an insider's view, as our son's girlfriend was working there as an intern, and so got a full tour from her above & beyond what is normally provided. There were many more Costa Ricans there than tourists, it is clearly a favorite family attraction. It's small & simple and a little bit worn, but sweet and friendly with a very strong focus on environmental education and sustainability.

you can see all the climate systems of Costa Rica in this park. It is an educational park and a scientific centre.

Our experience in this park was amazing because you are so near city life but when you enter the park you are completely immersed the natural environment of the flora and fauna.
