The building is great, ends up being a social hub for a good number of gringos, and it is possible to find some books in English, which is a nice treat! I even found one of my favorite authors in the "for sale" section for $2! Nice spot to check out!

I was studying Spanish at Habla Ya. The library was close to where I was staying and for me the best place to hit the books

Not a great choice of books but free wifi, good hours and quiet surroundings. Modern building with a small cafe.

The Boquete public library was a favorite as soon as I found it. A card is easy to obtain once you have a local address. The staff was very friendly (some bilingual), and they have a lot of good English books for the fall rainy afternoons in paradise. The new, modern Biblioteca is also a favorite venue for cultural events, and has a coffee shop to save you a trip if thirsty. Wifi internet works well, and you will often see local students using it with their government-issued laptops.Highly recommended!

The library is very quite & well stocked with reading materials. It has a nice display of art on the walls. A great asset to the community.

This was a great find. Five years ago it wasn't there and I said that I'd have to start one when we moved there. Was glad to see it there now and next year I will carry books in my suitcase. There were painting classes going on the day I climbed to the top. Beautiful wood stairwell.

I'm a middle aged woman who traveled alone to Boquete in the hopes of volunteering with the local children. I met a wonderful lady named Elsa who works at the Library. She is a classy beautiful woman with a giving heart. With her help, I was guided and able to help, read to the Nube Bugle' children. It was something I always wanted to do during my visit to Panama. She went out of her way, to take me to the children, and to show me sites around Boquete. The library is new and Beautiful. And is walking distance from the center of town. Pay a visit to the library when you are in Boquete and ask how you can help and donate to the library. You will feel great about it.

Apparently this place is really happenin sometimes, but we apparently weren't there at the right time. That said, great place to read, and they have the full hardcover versions of all national geographics since 1965, which are really really cool.

Loved seeing native Indian children, Gringos, Panamanian, and back packing travelers in this beautiful building.

The Boquete Library is great for locals and tourists, even. If you need a quiet place to get away and your hostel or hotel isn't working out for you, walk here (short walk from the central park) and use their free internet and even grab a coffee and snack at their cafe. There are three levels, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a seat somewhere. Everyone is very respectful of each other. Since the building is still quite new, everything is very clean and well-kept. The open floor plan keeps it from feeling like a typical stuffy library. The selection of books is really fantastic, too.

"It's like a museum" I was told. Not what I expected to find in this small Central American town. The library is modern and beautiful with its 3 stories of glass walls. Comfy chairs invite you to stay for a while and enjoy. But even better, it has nice pieces of varied local art. I didn't see a museum in Boquete, but the library serves this purpose here.

Not often that I say that! But walking by and seeing the great design I had to stop for a look. Nice art exhibit on the top floor. Worth a walk down and look

A great place to relax. Comfy couches. Strong WiFi. Attentive librarians. Could use some more English books but this is Panama. Even has WiFi you can get outside when the library is closed. Walkable from anywhere in Boquette.
