catamaran adventures

My wife and I spent a week aboard with Alvaro and his crew(Dalia, who was on board while we were there), and the tone of the trip was set on meeting Alvaro. As we stepped aboard, a relaxed yet highly competent feel aboard a modern perfectly maintained 48 foot catamaran. I am a kiteboarder(I brought my gear)and had the ultimate smooth water islands to myself for days, kiting from island to island at times, buzzing the beach and palm trees of deserted islands. Somewhat technical launch spots and reefs/rocks to avoid at times and also moderate currents so not a place to learn to kite in general. When the wind eased up, worked the waters hard with Alvaro teaching me to spearfish(not as easy as it seems!), really exciting, saw nodriza(non aggressive sharks), rays of all kinds, etc etcThe two kayaks are a great way to get around and explore the amazing islands, most uninhabited, you pay a minimal 3$ fee to the local Kuna family if one lives on it.Fresh fish, lobster, crab or octopus daily to eat, also with a day with fresh baked bread!We were made part of his contact and friendship with the local Kunas, a kind and gentle folk that gave us nothing but smiles and good vibes.San Blas, simply the most exquisitely remote and beautiful warm water place on earth, and I have traveled a bit. Alvaro was happy to let us set the tone and pace for our cruise: the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. It is not always easy to find something that pleases three generations of a family--from grandparents to young children. He was so great with the kids: playful and encouraging them to try new things. Having our own private island for a day, enjoying the crystalline water, and discovering the pristine coral reef were experiences I will not soon forget! The boat is beautiful and comfortable and each and every meal was outstanding--revolving around fresh seafood bought from the local community. Yes, we regret we could not have stayed more than two days!

Alvaro was a great host. We stayed on his boat for 2 nights. Nine of us slept comfortably in our rooms. We all agreed we could have stayed on the boat longer! He took us to several beautiful islands. It was smooth sailing on the catamaran. The food was delicious, freshly prepared. Our kids had a very special time. Alvaro was wonderful and did many fun things with them...ride around in the dingy, dive off the catamaran, help him drive the boat. We kayaked several times (2 came with the boat). We snorkeled, saw amazing coral and fish.I highly recommend this catamaran adventure for families with kids or with friends. It was an magical time.

Great hosts, very comfortable vessel, excellent music, delicious freshly prepared food, all nestled in the midst of exotic paradise. A connoisseur of the best spots in the Archipelago, Alvaro took us to a different island every day, which provided for smooth sailing and a new setting filled with new opportunities to satisfy our curiosity. Jump in the water, snorkel and immerse in a different world. Take one of the kayaks and explore pristine islands and white sand beaches. While snorkeling, we saw parrot fish, lion fish (very rare), sea stars, banks of sardines and many others. Alvaro also took us on a tour with a local Kuna family, who gave us a detailed description of their own Kuna Genesis. Be sure to bring ice and a good book ! And don't forget to gaze at the sky at night. Fantastic!

We spent such a great time in the Grenadines with Alvaro, the best skipper and host you can get. He made sure we had a fantastic time on his boat. Even though he had to take care of the boat, he still had time to help us, bring us to the beach, provide snorkel gear, taking pictures while we were kiting all day long.

we travelled with a group of 7 friends and a really great time. - relaxed sailing, lovely bays, saw dolphins and catched tuna.- nice boat with a great crew- best kite surfing, little paradise islands almost to ourselves with constant windCaptain Alvaro picked us up in St.Lucia where our flight from europe arrived.He made sure we feel at home from the beginning and optimized our time kite surfing. He also rescued us in emergencies and took some nice pictures.And we also had nice food from a local cook and always cold beers in the fridge :)ThanksJo

Una increíble experiencia! San Blas tiene tanto que ofrecer a la cual Catamaran Adventures le hace justicia. La embarcación es de primera , con camarotes y baños privados. Es amplia y acomoda diez pasajeros muy cómodamente. Álvaro, es el capitán, propietario, navegante, marino y cocinero y es excepcional. Su ayudante no se queda atrás. No hay nada mas agradable que después de un día de paseo y natación en playas bellas, como el disfrutar de una cena Gourmet a base de frutos del mar comprados cada día a los residentes de las islas. Solo me duele no habernos quedado una semana entera.La atención de Alvaro para con los niños fue magnifica. Este paseo estará en sus memorias por muchos años.Mauricio Salazar y familia

le Catamaran et son proprietaire skypper sont maintenant aux San Blas , the lost paradise of Panama , 365 iles minuscules frangees de sable blanc posees sur une mer turquoise et cocotiers en prime , nous sommes en dehors de la hurrican belt , Nous avons passe 2 jours de reve sur ce catamaran spacieux , bien amenage, beaucoup d ombre, grandes cabines , et assez d eau pour se doucher ( detail pour ceux qui se souviennent de certains voiliers ou il etait difficile de se rincer ) voiles et winchs en parfait etat , 2 moteurs Alvaro , le proprietaire skypper connait bien les iles et les fonds marins , snorkel a volonte , Cuisine digne d un grand restautant espagnol : langouste a peine sortie de l eau , poulpe tendre , ceviche de sierra a tomber , meme une simple tortilla espagnole etait un delice , le tout arrose d excellent vin chilien , et de cocktails maison nous y retournerons pour 1 semaine l anne prochaine

Bonjour, j'ai également fait une croisière sur vert émeraude, si René est toujours le propriétaire, c'est Olivier et Nathalie qui sont les nouveaux skipper et hôtesse, Olivier a été chef cuisinier dans une autre vie, et avec Nathalie les repas étaient succulent, cuisine variée, toujours bien présenté, cuisine antillaise et international, Nathalie nous a initier au paddle, elle est tres sportive, au programe en plus des visites des iles, elle nous a servis de coach sportive, sur les plages en utilisant la nature comme salle de sport, on c'est fait une reel remise en forme, Olivier ne rechigne pas à nous initier à la voile, au manœuvre, passionné, il nous a raconté ces voyages, en Afrique etc.... ce voyage resteras pour nous inoubliable, et Olivier et Nathalie des copains.si le bateaux n'est plus tous neuf, il reste tres confortable, et le prix abordable, je ne peu que le conseiller.
