Will recommend Rahul and Elefantastic to anyone going to Jaipur! Seriously, do not miss this opportunity. My wife and I can honestly say that this was one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had on a holiday. And we have traveled a lot. For starters the whole mission of Elefantastic is something I support and believe in. Rahul, who is 4th generation of taking care of elephants, takes in old or injured elephants, cares for them and makes sure that they are safe and happy – and the elephants are. We spent almost 5 hours at Elefantastic! We didn’t want to leave, and the only reason we did was because we had a dinner appointment. Trust me, Rahul did not rush us. As you can tell, I could write several pages about our wonderful time there. The staff, our sweet elephant (Birley), the home cooked lunch from Rahul’s mother and of course the bonding (we felt that close to our elephant) was absolutely amazing. If you are in Jaipur, don’t miss this. The day with Rahul and the elephants will be unforgettable.

I was moved by the details of this wonderful structure. This is really worth the boat ride and walk up the 200 trinket clad steps to the site. What fun!

Great to be so close to elephants feeding and cleaning them, did not wish to ride them as dislike this aspect of the sightseeing

We were taken care of straight from the off. The price we were quoted included transportation from our hotel. We were travelling with our two year old and were worried about her not enjoying the trip or it not being suitable. Instead, what we got was a wonderful experience tailored for her.We met Rahul who endeared himself with our toddler straight away by offering her some juice. He told us he had placed us with his favourite Elephant, an Elephant he grew up with as a kid and with whom he knew we would be in safe hands. We had so much fun stroking, feeding, painting and cleaning the elephant, and the ride was really lovely too. It isn't a jungle safari, but it is a very pleasant ride through some very pretty grassland. The paint, we were told, was non-toxic and natural. After having seen the cruelties inflicted on Elephants at Amber Fort, as well as the pigs, cows, goats etc in Jaipur, the one overriding feeling we had straight from the off was that Elefantastic really cared about their Elephants. They were in wonderful condition, cared for attentively, and clearly were very happy animals. We are always a bit wary of visiting zoos etc but this place really feels like a big family.Talking of family, we were taken to Rahul's mother's house for some very tasty food. We were warmly greeted, and again, our toddler made to feel very welcome.Rahul is a great guy - he is an intense guy and clearly loves his animals - he's the type of guy who wouldn't tolerate any cruelty to his animals (either by his workers or by visitors). Exactly the type of guy you want as the owner of such a company. Thanks a lot for making our experience so memorable - even now our toddler is asking for us to see more of Rahul's elephants.

I was not sure what to expect when I got there but I was not disappointed. I was picked up from my hotel in an auto and had a fun ride to the elephant farm. It rained a bit during the day but the program was adjusted to fit the conditions. Rahul arrived after a while and although there were only 2 elephants there because of the weather, he spent a lot of time with us explaining about the elephants how he set up the farm. We first bonded with our elephants by feeding them and rubbing them on their trunk and chin. My elephants was 46 (but she did not look a day over 20). We were given plenty to drink with water and lots of chai. The keepers stayed with their elephant the whole of the time and had some understanding of English. We spent some time painting the elephant before going off on a ride in the countryside. On returning, we washed and scrubbed down our elephants before going off to Rahul's mothers for a delightful lunch. On returning, we fed the elephants with sugar cane before Rahul came to check we were OK and answered more questions. We were then transported back from whence we came. I had a marvellous time and although I am an active 65 year old, I was able to do everything that everyone else did.Do book early as Rahul is limited to about 20 elephants. Toilet facilities are fine and work. If you want a relaxing and unique experience, try it, you won't regret it.

I did Elefantastic with 3 other adults and my almost 2 year old daughter. We all had a blast and it is as much fun for the adults as for the kids. Due to our train schedule, we started earlier--10 am. I do recommend requesting an earlier start if possible as we had the first half of the experience completely to ourselves before the other guests showed up. We had 2 elephants between the 4 adults. Mine was Raja who was a complete sweetheart and calmly stood there while my daughter hugged his trunk and painted his legs. We spent an hour getting to know our elephants and feeding them (this also gave my daughter a chance to get used to his size) and then did a ride--straddling him like a horse. After that it was painting and giving him a drink from the hose. My daughter loved both of those activities as she could paint her own designs on his legs and could hold the hose herself. Then we hosed him down and scrubbed him. Lunch at Rahul's mother's house was lovely and delicious. We had a bit of time to kill afterwards before catching our train and were able to hang out under the trees watching the other guests until it was time to go. They had a nice bathroom available and offered plenty of bottled water, soda and tea during the day. We arranged our own transportation to the site, but you could have them arrange it as well.

My wife and I had a great opportunity of being at Elefantasic on March 6, 2015. We were picked up at our hotel at 10:00 am and taken to the Elefantasic compound. As we arrived we where greeted by a wonderful man who offered us a cold bottle of water.Being there and seeing all the elephants with their riders and being so well taken care of is such and awesome sight. Then Rahul came over and sat with us to give us some very educational information about the elephants there in the compound. We were told about how every elephant has their own rider who takes care of his own elephant. It is actually a family affair because the elephants also has the rider and his whole family taking care of her. Next we where introduced to our elephant and her rider that we would be with for our entire day at Elefantasic. We feed her after our introduction and she loved us right away, feeding her as well as petting her was an awesome bonding experience. When she was done eating her rider saddled her up with a blanket for our ride. Now this was so great, my wife and I rode her by ourselves as the rider walked next to us giving her commands the whole time. Our elephants is very well behaved and my wife and I felt very safe on her the entire time. Our ride was 45 minutes to an hour long. It was a great ride too. When we came back to the compound our elephant and us took a rest for awhile. Again we we offered a cold drink of soda, water or juice. Then came the painting of our elephant , my wife and I enjoyed this very much. During our time if we had any questions about our elephant Rahul was right there to answer any questions we had. Rahul took very good care of my wife and I while we were there. For me the best part was giving our elephant her bath after we painted her. This was so enjoyable for her she loved every minute of her bath. Again this was a great bonding experience for me and my wife with our elephant. Of course after her bath she had to stand out in the sun to dry off and our day was coming to the end. Rahul took great pride in providing my wife and I with the best elephant experience of our lives. He also took us to his own house and had his family feed us when we were finished with our day. We would like to thank Rahul and his lovely family for a very fantastic day at Elefantastic.

We had an amazing time in November 2014 at Elefantastic. Rahul was communicative beforehand as well as once we arrived in Jaipur. The autorickshaw driver was on time and was a good driver. We loved spending the afternoon with Chanda (our elephant), feeding her, petting her, painting her, riding her, and washing her. The elephants are well taken care of and seem very happy. The lunch at Rahul's family home was AMAZING and we left completely stuffed. This truly was the highlight of our 10 days in India and turned our trip around (after having Delhi belly and other mishaps at the beginning of the trip). I can't recommend Elephantastic and Rahul more!!! If I ever go back to Jaipur I will definitely go to Elephantastic again!

We had the chance the spend the day with our elephant, talk to her, create artwork with her, feed her. She also took us for a ride, I was lucky enough to be able to learn how to get up by her trunk, they are beautiful animals and our experience was one in a million. Our meal was also superb. In my 2 weeks travelling India the day I spent at Elefantastic was my favourite by far.We travelled in January and it was too cold for the elephants to go swimming but we had so my joy regardless

excellent adventure or the family. They were very attentive. It is is nice to see that that the animals are humanely treated. They really expose you to the elephant which is a great experience. Rahul and family were excellent hosts. His mothers home and cooking were truly unique. The elephants were so majestic. Our kids had so much fun. We will so do this again.

A must visit whilst in Jaipur. We emailed a few days in advance and received a swift reply informing us of different packages and prices as well as the promise of no hidden fess, which turned out to be the truth. We were picked up from the hotel at 12 and dropped off again at 5. Our day included feeding, painting, washing, walking and riding the elephants with lunch at the house of the manager's mum. I could not fault the day at all - the elephants are happy and treated well, the staff are friendly and informative and they would not let us tip! A really special day.

great experience, but very expensive. We had a similar tour on our munnar kerala india Trip, this is a safe and good option for foreigners, with english speaking guide, do try to bargain during non peak travel season

On a recent visit to Jaipur I had the pleasure of meeting Rahul and his family at the Elephant village. I got to ride Sampa and spend the afternoon with her. from the begInning to the end this was a great experience !! Rahul and his family were kind to invite us for a home cooked meal and we loved being with Sampa and the other elephants here. all are well cared for and we got to participate and ask questions painting the elephants in a tradition unique to Jaipur. I recommend Elephantastic to anyone visiting Jaipur in the near future. it was a most enjoyable and memorable experience. Rahul is a kind and intelligent business owner I'm happy to have met him.
