Very cool place, you can see not only a small copy of Astana, but also all other cities. I have come here 3 times, and every times its very interesting

This miniature park that hosts most attractions of Kazakhstan is certainly interesting as it provides a quick overview over all regions of this large country that you otherwise might miss (e.g. For me particularly the mausoleums in Mangistau were interesting to see as a model).However, one has to admit that most models look quite poorly made and certainly are not rich in details (e.g. If you compare it to other miniature parks in Western Europe) and often are also not fully accurate. Because of this fact I can only give three stars.

I wish I had gone to this one on my first day in Astana. It's like a miniture world of Kazachstan. It's mostly outside but the depiction of Astana is inside. I wish I had seen this the first day because it has a nice overview of all the great and interesting buildings. Had I known about some of them, I would have cycled different routes to view these buildings for real.It reminds me of "Madurodam", in the Netherlands. It's nice to see everything that Kazachstan has to offer in terms of landmarks.

It was nice to see the size of the country and the variety. But difficult to follow since numbers were not easily followed and did not come in numerical order

Very informative museum on Kazakhstan history. There are a lot of little makets of real buildings devided by regions. Should be interesting for little children. Entrance fee 250 tenge (2$). You may take a guide who will explain details - 200 tenge(1.5$).

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw how this was rated, having just visited this with my teenaged children. The idea is a perfectly good one - think Legoland, but the result is dire and the whole set up is tired and dilapidated. The main problems are that the buildings are all totally out of scale with each other and with the plastic flowers and animals that have been added - thus one has a model of a building - perhaps a rather western looking ranch that looks as if it comes from the local toy shop, over which a huge plastic rabbit looms. Plastic ducks bob on the "Caspian" and are massive compare to the oil installations around the sea. The effect is bizarre to say the least. Having lived in Astana for two years now, I cannot say that this is the no 2 sight seeing thing in Astana - although I am struggling a little to come up with something to see other than the Baiterek! Others have suggested the model here of the new city is worth seeing. Don't bother. Buildings again are out of scale with each other and have been displaced from where they actually are, so that it does not represent a true record of the city. If you want to see that - and gain a far better understanding of what this extraordinary city will look like in years to come, go to the Palace of Independence - near the Pyramid, and there is a fantastic model of the city, all in scale and pretty accurate, built by a South Korean company. I should also add that on a damp August afternoon, when we visited, we were both charged to use a camera and no English speaking guide was available. The only thing this place has going for it is the price.

After Baiterek Atameken should definitely be your No 2 sight-seeing in Astana. It represents a map of Kazakhstan (with pretty much all the major cities) with miniature buildings, mountains, railroads adn pretty much everything that could be interesting in Kazakhstan. For those who haven't been to other regions of the country it would be possible to see how big Kazakhstan is and how different is the nature everywhere. There is also a separate area for miniature Astana where one could see almost all the modern buildings of the left bank. They provide guided tours with (I believe) English-speaking translators.

This was a unique and memorable experience! It is basically a large park that represents the terrain of Kazakhstan. There are replica buildings (larger than actual scale), a raised platform that contains the unique buildings of Astana, and a small museum. It is definitely worth a visit.

I just went there. It was nice as it gave a good flavour of what was in Kazakhstan. It would be easier to understand it however if you know Russian. They advertise an English guide, but when we went it was not available. With the guide I am sure it is excellent

The idea of Atameken is a piece of land shaped like the map of Kazakstan. It represents sightseeing of entire country as small copies placed in their respective areas. If is very good to start travel in Kazakhstan from this park.

A strange jumble of models of Kazakh buildings, monuments etc spread out on a rough map of Kazakhstan. Even spacing of models takes precedence over cartographical accuracy. Interesting nonetheless, although the hidden grove of models of buildings from around the world suggests that Kazakhstan still needs a few spectacular edifices. The best thing is the raised model of Astana, clearly showing how they'd like it to be, unconstrained by geography and all in a neat line. Compare it to a map for a good laugh. Worth a look for 400 tenge (contrary to some guides, no extra fee for cameras).

Если нет возможности объехать весь Казахстан, то хороший выход для туриста посмотреть страну в миниатюре. Карта Казахстана передает в масштабе все природно-климатическое разнообразие нашей страны, а также демонстрирует особые достопримечательности в каждом регионе. После этого можно ехать в глубинку уже со знанием дела )))

Была там неоднократно. Много раз подряд, на протяжении долгого времени. Раньше, лет 10 назад даже водила туда иностранцев, и получала от них положительные отзывы. Сейчас не рекомендую ходить туда взрослым однозначно. Может быть можно пройтись там с детьми младшего школьного возраста, но только один раз. Сейчас парк сильно пообветшал, новые макеты очень грубые, примитивные, уровень экскурсий - очень слаб, я обычно отпускала экскурсовода и рассказывала сама. Помню, что урочище Тамгалы в миниатюре вызвало гомерический хохот, потому что получить представление об истинном виде этого места на примере макета - все равно, что говорить о том, что видел Эйфелеву башню на примере брелка. В общем, если пофотографироваться с детьми - то можно. Получить представление о Казахстане - ни в коем разе.

Я много слышала об этом комплексе, но увидев его своими глазами, была очень впечатлена.Создателям на маленькой территории удалось воплотить все особенности рельефа Казахстана, а также изобразить крупные города.Не совершая путешествия по стране, в одной точке вам удастся получить представление о всей республике.С удовольствием посетила бы это место еще раз!
