Although we have been to CM many times this was our 1st visit to the Royal Park. You need to allow a couple of hours to walk round and then get on the tram to see areas you may have missed, admission charge low and we would like to go back in the evening and experience the light show

This is a very nice park which is situated out of the main city, this park has lovely grounds and is very senic, I would recommend going early morning or early evening to avoid the intense heat as it's rather open. I have visited 3 times and I'm never bored of this place , you are not too far from the cnx night safari

Beautiful place. Worth a visit here. We did this as part of a tour to waterfalls and tribal village visit. We had plenty of time here. Entrance cost reasonable. One of the best trips I have done in a long time.

This is especially interesting if you are into landscaping and love flowers/plants. The area is extensive and I would recommend to visit in the late afternoon. There is an entrance fee, also it is possible to catch one of the tour buses if you are not into walking.

We were advised to see the gardens by our host in Chaing Mai. About 30 minutes by songteau but worth the drive. The place is amazing. Beautiful gardens are immaculately laid out and cared for. The setting is truly breathtaking as it is on a huge scale. The Shaded Paradise was a rainforest effect with many flowers and amazing plants. The orchid gardens are incredible with so many species and all set so creatively. The Royal Pavilion is huge and impressive. The strange thing is there was almost nobody there. It gave it a feeling of being at the Chelsea Flower Show on your own. Well worth the visit. TB 100 is great value. If you like walking then don't take the buses that can tour the grounds. A real hidden jewel. Thanks too to Harry Conick Jnr for the sound track to the day. That was weird but strangely in keeping.

This park is both huge and beautiful. Fortunately, there is a tram bus that runs all around the park several times each hour. The cost is minimal, the sights are unforgettable. This park includes within it a Japan garden, a China garden, an India garden, an Indonesia garden and many others. Well worth the time to see especially for families.

This is probably the most beautiful garden I have ever seen in my life. The flowers are amazing, the park is big and the visit is very pleasant. I really enjoyed this activity. I did it after visiting the Doi Suthep temple and I highly recommend it. The entrance fee is very cheap (less than 100 for foreigners, maybe 50THB, I can't remember).

The flowers in the park were and are splendid. The grounds are keep clean and the bus trip around the park is worth it. You can hop on and off the bus at will, to walk on your own. The frequency of the bus trips is every 15 minutes.New gardens were being prepared when I visited.

The gardens were beautiful with lots of colorful flowers and great views. We took the tramway around to quickly see the layout and I didn't particularly like most of the outlying commercially sponsored areas but did enjoy to central garden walking distance from the front entrance

It wasn't too busy at all when we went, sunshine and beautiful flowers what's not to like! We bought tickets for the train that goes around the gardens however, I think we got off at the first stop and never got back on. We spent an enjoyable afternoon here, it was good to get out of the city and see something other than temples.

This very large park was constructed for an International Flower Festival in honor of the king in 2005. Think of it as a world's fair of flowers, Countries such as Iran, Bhutan, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, Bangladesh, Mexico, Morocco, South Africa, etc participated. That year the grounds were incredibly decorated and filled to bursting with unbelievable flowers arranged as a carpet, in fields, in greenhouses, etc. We spent seven days just visiting and seeing the exhibits. When the international show closed, the park refused to die and it seems as if every year another show is on display. If you saw the original, what is left is a pale imitation, but if you never saw the original, don't miss what's there now. It's a Thai spectacular.

Not very popular among foreign tourist in Thailand, so the park was mostly full of domestic tourist. The collection was awesome, the park was huge. You can rent a golfcar for 600baht per hour, or a shuttle car for 20baht to go around the park (recomended). They have small indoor flower doom with a waterfall, look like a miniture of Singpore's garden by the bay flower dome. The sun was really strong, so bring an umbrella with you.Enterance fee: 100baht

Nature & Flora lovers... Slowly walk around this huge garden and admire the landscape.. or you can take a tramp (20 THB per person) to get to the various sites. if you prefer a guided tour, take a golf cart and it comes with a tour guide. ( max 4 guests per golf cart). Cost is 600 THB for an hour rideBest to go in the morning as the sun is not so hot..

Maybe not one for everyone but personally this was one of my highlights. With a huge Orchid garden, a bus service that takes you all around this was the best 100 bht ive spent in Chiang Mai! Refreshing to see local people there; as a result most things were in Thai but added ot the experience. I would recommend going after 3/4pm as it's very hot with very little shade.
