You can easily find Echo valley from the map at the Tourist centre - a guide is certainly not needed, ju st take the steps before the entrance to the school

We took an Eco Tour. It was a long walk up and down the mountains. View is very calming and beautiful.

Was impressed on how the people of Sagadas preserved their dead ancestors, On how they loved their departed loved ones. One features of the Echo Valley is, it echoes down in the valley when you shout from the top after passing the modern cemetery. Other attraction is the wall/rock climbing.

there were lots of people coming from and going to the echo valley so we didn't take a guide and just followed the crowd taking the path beside the church and up the cemetery. farther along the way, there will be a few narrow trails going down the valley and close to the hanging coffins. there aren't any signs so we weren't aware what else we could find in the area.follow the trail past the coffins which steeply goes down. this is supposed to lead you to the sagada underground river. there is a wooden fence which will make you wonder if you'll be trespassing but just hop over it and follow the path and it will lead you to the underground river. this will make your echo valley tour more worthwhile.

I took a guide although it would be quite easy to do the walk without one. The trail wasn't however always easy to find and was slippery and the guide was very helpful and informative. Took me about 2 hours and really enjoyed it.

If you stayed in the center of the town, you can walk to it by passing through the church. Go up through the cemetery and there is a main pathway that goes to it. The tourism center advises that you pay a tour guide for 6 usd. We didnt hire a guide, which is way fun because initially we went to the right and ended up in a dead end. We then went back up and went left and found the hanging coffins. There's also a place for rock climbing.

going to sagada, make sure to do this as one of your warm up adventures. its just a leisurely walk from town, make sure to shout you heart out and someone (other than the echo of your voice) at the other side of the cliff might just answer you back. The rock formations are beautiful, the concept behind the echoing part is high school physics, but still the view is lovely. Be careful as you trek because the trail is very raw, and a wee bit slippery from the dry pine leaves.

The one-hour loop through Echo Valley is pleasant enough, though not overly stunning. You can see the famous hanging coffins along the way, though they are also not particularly interesting except for the novelty factor. The trail is not maintained at all and can be very difficult to find in some areas. Many people will say that you will need a guide to complete the loop trail, though we found it unnecessary. We were able to find our way with the help of a map and compass, though we made a few wrong turns along the way. The underground river portion of the trail at the end of the loop was the unexpected highlight.

The Echo Valley is a one to two hour stroll. Start by passing the cemetery. In order not to get lost take a local guide. Cost is 400 pesos for as long as you want the guide, incl. his guidance for other attractions in Sagada. Getting close to the Hanging Coffins there is a 'stretch'. and not worth taking the risqué.

The coffins are a bit of a letdown and the valley isn't that exciting. Its nice to go to for a day walk linking it through to the caves and small waterfalls, but id really suggest its not worth the effort of getting to sagada

If you do not have a guide like the foreigners that I have met, you will feel lost as there are no signs around. Parents, save your blushing faces and restrain your children from blurting out not-so-good words because, yes, it will ECHO and everybody will hear it until the place where the hanging coffins are located (which is down the valley). Have some respect and decency. If you do not think you can control your child's behaviour, please leave your kids behind. This place is best captured on video. The photo will just give you trees as background. To reach this place, you will pass by a cemetery. Bring an umbrella to protect you from the scorching sun. A bottle of water if you are going down to see the hanging coffins (1-hour walk to and fro).

Truely being one with nature, the echo valley trek is part of the 3 hours package trek. Its so cool to shout and hear your voice being echoed by the valley.

this was a fun walk with friends, really nice landscape and felt like we were in the wilds, even though still close to town. Be carefull though as the trackk is really slippy so think twice about what footwear you wear. The coffins are cool

Done caving? Try trekking! As you get the echo valley tour, you will pass by the Church, the cemetery, hanging coffins, underground river, and vegetable field. Walk and learn as you please your eyes with natural surroundings. A must do in Sagada
