I understand that this garden was started by two sisters who have now died. Some interesting trees and flowers. Just wish that the guide knew what bread fruits were (fruits that look like bread?) but he will learn.A relaxing and cool walk under the hot sun. A nice little break with friendly people. It is by donation so a 2-3 CUC bill is appreciated.

Nothing special, plants/trees are not described, not in good shape.Although entrance is theoretically free, they will chase you till the gate to pay "donation". Not recommended.

It;s easy to miss, but when you walk in it's like magic. Beautiful flowers and plants are just waiting for you. We had a really nice guide who explained a lot to us. He showed us around the whole garden, wich is really big. I didn't expect that at all! Really a great trip to do when you're in Vinales

We had a pleasant stroll through this garden. The guide books gush about this garden but it wasn't very gushable. The good thing is that it is only by donation. I think it has seen better days. Please keep your eyes out for the beer can tree.

There really isn't that much to do when wandering around the town of Viñales so you might as well drop into this place. It has a huge outdoor area full of local fauna, some chickens, chairs and a fence full of orchids. Why not just go? They ask for a donation at the end, whatever you can afford.

A lovely garden. Our guide showed us all the plants, invited us for a drink, and shared his family history with us. A very nice way to spend time in Viñales.

It probably seemed larger than it actually was. The young man who guided us through was friendly and knowledgeable about the plants growing there. I recommend this as a good way to spend an hour in Vinales.

well, in fact it's a private garden, rather small, kept by a family they live there, so do not expect a big garden unlike others in Cuba, but you 'll get a warm welcome,

A wonderful couple of hours can be spent walking around this botanical garden, viewing the many exotic plants and wildlife that live hear. Our guide was very friendly and informative and quick to answer the many questions posed by our group of eighteen people. There is a fee of around $1.00 US to take photographs.

The guide was wonderful. He knew everything there was to know about the gardens and the flora. It is amazing what the hermanas created. A gem not to be missed.

We had a guide who really made our little tour worthwhile. We learnt facts about brazil nuts, ebony and bamboo trees. The sausage trees bear huge fruit, enough to knock you out.

We stopped here on our way to the bus station on our last day. The entrance is very simple so you could miss it.Entrance is free but there is an expectation of a small donation at the end. They give you a little bit of fruit at the end of your tour. You are free to walk around. It is quite large. It is cool and quiet.Nothing is labeled, but it is nice to see the variety of plants.

Tucked away on the edge of Vinales, we weren't sure whether it was worth visiting. We were so glad we did. What looked like a jumble of plants in a fairly small garden off the main road turned out to be a most interesting collection of local and other tropical plants, grown both for flowers and fruit, including banana, papaya, cocoa, coffee .... The young guide who took us round was very knowledgeable and pointed out many things we would have missed. We even saw a hummingbird. At the end of the tour you are given a sample of the fruit that grows in the garden. There is no charge, but you are expected to make a contribution, which we were very willing to do. An interesting (and cool in the shade) way to spend an hour or so.

This garden is absolutely beautiful: orchids, cocoa tree, flowers, hibiscus, banana tree, papaya, and much much more. We were truly delighted to spend an afternoon at this tropical paradise of fruits and flowers. The original owner was from China, so there were a lot of Chinese tropical species there. We had a wonderful time. The garden was located just few steps to our casa "Villa los ñañes", so it was accesible to us!
