Outdoor music venue. This plaza has a couple of cafes serving food and drink. Live music can be heard afternoons and night. If the weather is nice there is no better place to be!

For the best entertainment in Trinidad walk to the steps in the Plaza Mayor, pay one CUC per person and find a seat at a table or further up along the steps. Once seated, order a drink...or not...no pressure. Then sit back and enjoy the music. Different groups come nightly to perform a set or two. The dance floor is small but crowded with dancers of every ability. People of all ages, locals and tourists alike, gather to enjoy the energy and excitement.

Our plan was to stay in Trinidad only 3 days, but because the casa de la Musica we stayed for 5 days, only to go listen to music and dance a little every evening.entry fee is 1 cuc (about one euro), the cheapest fee to watch a show ever. You are expected to buy a drink and the beers and cocktails are good and inexpensive. Music is fantastic and even if you don't dance watching the people dancing is a lesson in itself. But do dance! Even if you are not a perfect dancer, it is not important. The atmosphere is catching, the shows are changing so you get 3-4 performances every night. Bring some small change to give as a tribute to the singers, usually someone goes around to collect money and your donation matters and is important. The casa de la Musica of Trinidad in unique, you will not find anything like it in Havana or in the other cities. In Havana it is expensive and very noisy, very far from the authentic experience of Trinidad. So give yourself a few days there to enjoy it in full.

Even if you can't salsa dance (yet) this is the place to be in Trinidad after dark. The steps in Plaza Mayor come alive. There is always an 8-10 piece fantastic band. There are professional dancers who put on quite a show, dancing the traditional Cuban dances and then...it's salsa time! Locals and tourist alike Salsa until the wee hours of the morning. I've never seen anything like it. Phenomenal dancers! It only costs 1CUC to get in and that is only on week days. We also got drinks for 1CUC, so it is a really inexpensive TOTALLY entertaining evening.

Just near "plaza Mayor" - A dancing and live music club one of the best of its kind in whole Cuba (!)Every evening you will find there the best bnads playing live cuban music, coctails, and many many happy people dancing and having great time. Its a must place to visit in Trinidad (!)

Day or night this casa is busy and entertaining. Music seems to be a permanent feature and dancing is whenever people feel like dancing! Its right beside the Plaza Mayor and many of the popular bars and restaurants so you don't have to rush anywhere!

A fantastic night of either dancing or watching the locals dance - and tourists try to. Great fun and festive atmosphere. I don't think a stay at any local resort would be complete without this experience.

A great place for some great music and a few beers. Whilst not being well up on Cuban music we enjoyed it all, certainly the best night life that we experienced on our holiday.

Casa de la musica in Trinidad is much better than in Havana. It's in the central plaza and open air, there are many restaurants around and music until late at night, good cuban music and place to dance. Worth a visit!

Every night there is different music and dancing, a highlight of our trip to Trinidad. From traditional Cuban ballads Toronto modern salsa music, Casa de la Musica is an open air dance and music square.

We ended up coming here basically every night because you actually got to dance salsa with locals and that was what we were looking for. They have live bands playing, every now and then some performances and you get to dance if you just sit closer to the dance floor. It is also amazing just to look at the locals who really know what they're doing. The night starts at the open-air square/dance floor and the steps and if you want to continue after midnight, you also have a "night club", also with no roof on your head. Fun evenings!

A must do.We had a great time here , both during the day and during the night. The music was great the spontaneous salsa dancing of the locals is great and totally draws you in, they love to teach tourists who are willing to join in - and must say that it's harder than it looks ! A thoroughly entertains place loved it!

Arriving at 11pm, the party was already in full swing and we struggled to find a good spot for our group of 6 to watch. We managed to settle down with a drink and immediately regretted not coming early.A fantastic setting to enjoy vibrant, contemporary Cuban music at its best. My only advice would be to arrive earlier to soak in the atmosphere!
