Met the owner Chevy and his wife Amelia on a quiet night there and had a good time just chatting with them and their friends over a few beers and some awesome rum concoctions. They were so warm and inviting. They told us to come back on Sunday for their reggae night, which we did. It was a really fun night. The party had a great local vibe which we loved since we're not big into the most touristy places on vacation. Chevy was awesome enough to cook us some wings that night even though I'm pretty sure the kitchen was shut down. He and Amelia were awesome hosts and we will definitely be back the next time we are on the island. Highly recommended spot on Pinney's beach for anyone who wants to kick back and enjoy the island experience!

On your next trip to Nevis, make sure you stop at Chevy's. This location on the beach is great and the views cannot be any better. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, the staff is friendly and helpful. Chevy greets you warmly and is a wealth of information about the island. We spent more than one evening here on our visits and I am always impressed on the friendliness of the bar. If you want to experience the true Nevis, make sure you stop in to see Chevy.

If you are staying south of Pinney's beach and want to enjoy the coast line, definitely take this lengthy walk from your hotel to Chevy's Calypso restaurant/bar. A very friendly "Cheers" type of bar where everyone is welcomed like an old friend and conversations are warmly had with many locals and returning visitors! BEST wings on the island and great views. If you're a dancer and enjoy the night life, take your dancing partner there on a Sunday and revel in local Caribbean music! This place is a great local must visit!

Chevy's based on Pinneys Beach is a must if you are visiting Nevis. Chevy and his wife Amelia go out of their way to make your visit pleasurable. Vibrant Calypso and Reggae beats add to the atmosphere. If you're daring...........try Chevy's "Pink Pantie" cocktail!!!

OK...Chevy's was great. Not a very impressive structure (basically a small shack). But Chevy gave you personal attention that makes you feel like they were glad you were there. This place is much better than sunshines which is just a stone throw away. The price is much better than eating at the resort. We came on a day they had fresh lobster and it was delicious.

I stumbled upon this bar while taking a beach walk. I did not get much further. Drinks and company were great. Thanks Guys. I'll be back.

I'm a HUGE fan of Chevy's. Chevy, his family and his staff go out of their way to make your visit to Chevy's a perfect experience. Everyone is always up for a chat and making new friends. The drinks are wonderful, the "pink-panty" and the "stinger" and all of Chevy's cooking is mouth watering... makes me want to go get some now.Chevy's is the #1 beach bar that is recommended on other travel forums that I read dedicated to SKN.Chevy's is a MUST do stop on your Nevis trip!!! Great atmosphere, great beach, great times!!!!!

We visited Nevis as part of a group of 50, staying at the Four Seasons Resort. The resort has fantastic facilities including golfing, spa and the restaurants but very expensive. One of my favorite restuarants was Mango's located a short walk off site. One of my our most memorable experiences was finding a place called Chevys Calypso Bar along Pinney's Beach. My wife and I stopped off there to take a look at the menu and were very surprised at the great selection ! Suffice to say we returned there for dinner and order 8Lobster Creole and Coco Shrimp Curry. This in our opinion was the best reasonably priced meals of our stay!! Great fun place where you will meet some great characters. Any visit to Nevis a stop at Chevy's is a MUST !!PS. Try his house special "Stinger' or "Pink Panty" rum Punch..........awsome !

Chevy's was one of our highlights to Nevis. All we read and heard about, for the most part, as it came to beach bars was Sunshines which is the most popular. Another 1 minute walk past Sunshines from the 4 Seasons is Chevy's. HIGHLY worth the one minute walk!! Chevy's was truly remarkable in every way. We went there for dinner our first night and we both had lobster which was probably the best lobster we have ever had. We ate there another time during our stay as well and loved the food. The first night we went there we were some of the only people there and after he cooked our delicious meal he came out and we chatted for a long time until another customer came and ordered food. Chevy is one of the nicest men you would ever meet. Every day we were at the 4 Seasons we at least went to Chevy's for a few drinks just to sit and talk with Chevy.I will always go to Chevy's when I go back to Nevis. By far the best beach bar on Nevis (much better than Sunshine's). Also don't forget to try Chevy's "Stinger"!!!

Just got back from a trip to Nevis where my girlfriend and I stayed at the Four Seasons Resort. Just down the beach from the Four Seasons we found Chevy's and fell in love instantly. Chevy and his wife Amelia welcomed us with open arms and treated us to the best meal of our trip. Their rum stingers pack a punch but there was also a new recipe in the works during our visit which will clearly be the bars new signature rum drink. Karaoke on Monday nights is a can't miss. If you go on vacation to experience the local culture and escape the overpriced atmoshphere of the big resorts resturauants and bars, then Chevy's is for you. It is one of the reasons we are already planning our return trip.

If you are headed to Nevis the one place you must visit is Chevy's Calypso Bar on Pinney's Beach! My wife and I went on our honeymoon for a week and spent most of our evenings enjoying the atmosphere, drinks, incredible food and most of all great local atmostphere and conversation at Chevy's. The owner/chef/bartender/calypso singer is always there and is extremely friendly and will welcome everyone with open arms. If you stop in be sure to ask to hear some of his music. He has it on hand and will play it if you request it. The best meal I've had in a long time was served up by Chevy. It was FRESH Mahi Mahi with a salad with a special house dressing, rice, beans etc. Amazing food. If you're a big fan of BBQ sauce and wings you'll want to try his. Again they have his own BBQ sauce on them that is incredible. He has a great menu and my only regret is that we didn't get to try it all.As for drinks, you'll def. want to try his Stinger's. They're strong and they will "sting" you if you're not careful. You'll also probably meet more locals there than anywhere else, so if you like local culture and great conversation you'll want to give it a try. We can't reccomend it enough. If you're staying at the four seasons or stopping in on a windjammer cruise or some other adventure, you owe it to yourself to try Chevy's. Don't just stop at Sunshine's because they are closest or because thats were the boat dropped you. Chevy's is right next to sunshines just down the beach a few hundered feet.If you love Karaoke you'll want to stop in on Monday nights. There were some incredible singers there the night we went. Again we can't say enough! Give it a shot!
