A lovely beach that can get busy but just walk a bit further away from the bar. Best way to get to the beach is a pleasant walk from the town along the coast and in part a milimetre or two in the water.

Overlooking Port Elizabeth, Princess Margaret Beach is in my opinion Bequias second best beach [ Lower Bay beach being the best ].It now features a pretty shoreline "pavement" walk to Port Elizabeth. It only takes 7 - 10 mins to walk although there are a few steps up and down. However it's well worth the effort. You'll be charged the equivalent of US$6 to rent a sun bed but it'll be well worth it.You can watch the huge yachts, cruise ships and sailing boats sail in and out of the harbour or pop into Jacks bar for a cooling rum punch.Certainly worth a visit!

We went twice to this beach. The first time was just before sunset, on our way through from Lower Bay and along the new walkway into town. It was quiet and undeniably beautiful. Then we went in the middle of the day and the beach was packed. Cars had come down the track from the road, flotillas of yachts lined the shore and two cruise ships were sending people over in barges. As one of these set off again, music began blaring out and people starting dancing on it to 'Rock Around The Clock' only feet from the beach. The cafe was over-priced. Much better to walk over the headland to the very pretty and much quieter Lower Bay with its laid-back beach cafes.

Trees growing right down to the sand.Good snorkeling. Friendly locals. Nice restaurant/bar at one end(Jack's).Views of the sunset. Uncrowded at least when we were there. What more do you want from a beach?

This is one of the nicer beaches in the harbor area, you can walk to it from the town center along a recently renovated walkway that is at waters edge. Jack restaurant is located at this beach and I highly recommend it for whatever meal you wish to have. They also have a great bar, the place is very open to the sea and to the air, but nicely covered so the sun is not intruding upon your head. You can drive to the beach if your adventuresome, its like driving down a very steep simi-paved road and then onto a very dirt like road that takes you to the beach. We never had a problem finding a place to part there.

Great beach, a little difficult to get to, but worth the trek! One restaurant up the way, Jack's. Cool restaurant but the beach stands on its own as the attraction. Water temperature is great!

whilst on our honeymoon we had a fantastic day on board a catamaran that took us out to moon cove to snorkle, st Margaret's beach to relax in peace on the sand and then to Bequai to mooch about shops and whole away some time.It was amazing, stunning sea trip, great snorkel trip and heavenly bit of peace on the beach after being on the cruise ship along with 3000 other passengers. The beach sellers leave you snooze, we tipped them for this, so often when on holiday one an not get a minutes peace! Bequai is a little run down and very quaint, a little shabby chic with a handful of restaurants and shops, just enough to do after a lazy day at sea.I recommend you take a beach mat with you as there are no lie lows but that's the real beauty... very unspoiled and commercialized.... charming, a full day at a super leisurely pace

Princess Margaret beach is a lovely spot. The people of Bequia have done a great job of constructing a pathway from the main village to Princess Margaret beach. It is absolutely worth the walk, even if you choose not to spend any time on the beach. But the beautiful white sand, the moderate temperatures and the ability to view all the boats in Admiralty Bay make it worth a few hours. There is a great bar/restaurant right on the beach that is also worth a cocktail or two. Enjoy!

We visited here on a day ferry trip from St Vincent (easy to do). Just walk to the right when leaving the ferry and follow the new board walk around to the lovely beach - an absolutely beautiful walk and a stunning soft white sand beach and sheltered crystal clear sea. Make sure you have your camera!

Great beach with lovely views.Nice spot to take in the sunshine, snorkel and pass the time of day. Easy walk from either town or Lower bay.

We are staying at "A Shade of Blues" apartment directly over Princess Margaret beach. So far we have spent the majority of our time at this beach, luxuriously stretched out on a towel on the sand. There are several places to rent loungers if you like. But the sand here is very pliable and easy to mould to a comfy shape to allow for you to enjoy laying on the sand. We found that most of the loungers available don't recline all of the way, and often have armrests which make it nearly impossible to lay on your stomach. The water is crystal clear and a lovely shade of blue. The only services on this beach are the chair rentals and Jack's Bar - which has the most expensive rum punch on Bequia. The beach is the perfect length to stroll up and down on.Don't miss the cave at the far end of the beach! When the sea is calm in the morning, there is a lovely little secluded and extremely romantic pool formed there among the rocks. Delightful!

A little hard to get to and not as wide a beach as I would have thought for the hype. Sheltered and peaceful though.

Because this is close to town, the it is popular amongst the sailors. It has a dinghy dock out front for the tenders. However, it is a beautiful beach and the walkway takes you right into town. If you are looking for a more private beach, check out Friendship or Lower Bay.

I have to praise this spot, even 'tho I'd hate to anybody else visit. Lovely half mile+ beach with a fancy restaurant at one end, a lovely woman who rents chair, sells T's and drinks about 200 yards along, and the rest empty... except when a couple of jitneys unload a score or so of people off a cruise ship.
