It can be dangerous walking across the road and there are signs indicating not to trespass (but we did anyway) The plants and monuments are nice but i wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place

The Garden was small, the photos you will see are the garden in total, there is nothing else not photo'dIt was a long way to walk for what is there

We were just walking around when we saw this. It does take you by surprise. Surrounded by gorgeous houses and hotels, this 12th century cloister built in France just sits there in the middle like an UFO in the middle of a corn field. If you decide to go, read a little bit about its history or take a guide.

Walked over here from our hotel (Riu). Pretty place. Not a ton to see here, but worth walking around both sides. 10-20 minutes should do it. I can see why people get married here. I'm sure the photos are nice.

Worth the drive or walk . Just a beautiful setting perfect for photos.. Turn around and walk to Versailles gardens opposite it.

After seeing pictures on TripAdvisor, this was on my list of things to do while visiting the Bahamas. We took a bus from downtown ($1.25) and hopped off at the first bridge to PI. We walked over the bridge, stopping to take several pictures of downtown Nassau and proceeded to the right. When you get to the Comfort Inn Suites, take a right and the Cloisters will be located at the top of the hill. You can enter from the right or the left--we did both (signs posted that this is private property), the left is a terraced area with statues and ponds but ends near the bottom of the slope--owned by the One and Only Resort. To the right is the main square and beyond that the gazebo near the bay at the bottom. It is a place of solitude and reflection amongst all the glitz and clamor of PI--in the shadow of showy Atlantis. The walk from the bus probably took 20 minutes--but well worth the exercise. You could hail a cab I'm sure but the walk is nice--manicured grounds and you pass a Dunkin Donuts if you need a drink or a bathroom stop. We stayed about 30 minutes and took pictures, reflected and enjoyed the sunshine. On the way back, take the second bridge over to Nassau and take pictures of the opposite side--which includes Potters Cay, stop and have a quick drink and look at the sites below--a bit crustier than Fish Fry (Arawak Cay). Then grab a bus back downtown. You need to go up one more block because it is one way at the bottom of the bridge. Enjoy, completely safe and free. A good use of 2 hours time. A long way with kids but interesting to see the "real Nassau" while riding the bus--make sure you say hello everyone when boarding, Bahamians are very polite and respectful so please return the positive vibes.

Amazing history. It was very cool looking at the old ruins. The beach here is wonderful... a bit of a walk but wonderful. Wish we had found this place early on our trip instead of the last day.

Truly a fantastic view over the harbour. The historic value is quite interesting. Very beautiful and a must see while on Paradise Island.

It was a nice walk to get here although signage could be better. There are "private property" signs up which we thought a little odd???Nice garden.Could easily see people getting married here or coming here for pictures.

I recommend taking in The Cloisters in combination with breakfast Oceanside at the Ocean Club. Stroll through their beautiful property to the view the gardens and the statues leading up to the cloisters. Definitely worth an hour or so of time. So unique, beautiful and unexpected.

Yes there are some beautiful vistas here but it doesn't deserve to be the number two attraction on Nassau. Once you have a look around there is nothing to do here. Does not really compare to other gardens I have seen in terms of diversity.

Free and gorgeous! Near Atlantis and takes no time at all. Beautiful sculptures and a great water view make this stop worth it!

Well kept, botanical collection is primarily ficus pumila, bouhgvillia for box or hornbeam, and grass. This is about the views not the plants.

Take a cab from the pier directly to the Cloisters ($4pp). The grounds are beautiful and well kept (by Atlantis grounds crew) with interesting statues of FDR and David Livingston. Walk toward the beach and through the grounds of the lovely Ocean Club. Fair amount of easy stair climbing, but not wheelchair accessible. At Ocean Club reception you can catch a free shuttle to the Atlantis and see all the entrances. After seeing what you can at Atlantis (and/or hitting the casino) you can take a taxi or take a short downhill walk down to the boat shuttle by the bridge ($4pp one way) to the pier. Nice outing for little money
