We hiked with our kids (ages 13,8) and we really enjoyed the trail and the views at the top. The trail is a little steep, but not difficult. The tower at the top was really cool. We had clouds literally blowing cross it while we stood in them. We saw a few frogs, birds, centipedes and other wild life.

We drove to the top of El Yunque and made the short trek up the concrete path to the Mt. Britton lookout tower. The views were fantastic from the top! We could see all the way to our resort, the Ocean Villas at the Wyndham Rio Mar.We enjoyed hiking through the jungle- so many interesting plants to see. We loved the diversity of trees, seeing all the snails, and hearing the bird calls. The path is concrete, and not slippery at all. It's a steady incline, but not very long. It is definitely worth the effort for the fantastic view from the tower. I highly recommend this excursion!

Nice view but sooo crowded. Don't expect to be alone or to easily find parking. This lookout point is a little disappointing.

Nearly killed myself trying to keep up with my college kids on this steep trail. Worth the view if not the calf ache the next day. Trail rated for 45 minutes (so if you have kids or slow walkers or those in flip flops...)

Great view of PR! This is a stop along the rainforest road. It's a tower that you take the stairs to climb up.

This was our second time at the rainforest . the first was with a organized tour which was excellant .. On this visit we stayed locally and had more time . On our own it only cost entry ..We stop for a snack at the last place and it had excellant burgers . We went to trail that leads to the tower . The path is very well kept .. But remember to bring water .. There are three rest stops on the way up. Well worth the effort ..

From the top of the road, Mt. Britton is an easy hike on a concrete trail through the forest. If you can, definitely keep going up to the peak of El Yunke, its much higher, and much more satisfying. The Rock ("Rocka") is also breathtaking (recommend some rock climbing experience).

A little taxing and wet (rain forest) what a greta view! Took about 45 minutes and were breathing a little heavy but well worth the trek!

Great hike, but definitely not handicapped accessible. Narrow raised cement/rock path that is wet, winding and steep. And beautiful and quiet. The total hike takes about 30 minutes and the views are spectacular. Highly recommend taking the time to do this. When you leave Go to lower lot for Colorado Picnic Area and take trail to La Mina Falls. Wear your bathing suit and bring your camera.

This tower has great views on a clear day! After the water falls go check out the tower. The hike is short but is steep. However, its not dangerous its all paved trails. Easy for those in shape and kids.. Once you get to the tower there are a few spiral stairs to climb up. Its worth it, especially on a clear day. Enjoy!
