This was unbelievable the best place to get family and friends together. I traveled these last few days to Puerto Rico but i didn't have time to see everyone or visit everyone. So I planned this activity at Isla de Cabras and it was AWESOME and God made our day spectacular. I guess this is gonna be the reunion place from now on.

you have got to take a catamaran tour and visit the islands around Puerto Rico and do some snorkeling, it's just amazing to spend a whole day in the ocean

My wife and I wanted to check it out after seeing it from the fort across the water. There are some really nice views, a lot of picnic areas, and a couple of historic buildings, but there was trash all over the place. On the side of the road, floating in the water, overflowing from the bins, on the ground, etc. It was a real disappointment for us.

About five minutes from Bacardi Rum Destillery. Picnic area with plenty of parking space. Excellent for shore fishing

Great spot to cool down after a hard day, so relaxing between east coast Toa Baja y west coast El Castillo del Morro in San Juan!! Palms every where no deep at all, grill area, fishing spot at the south side nice restaurants around to enjoy and have a blast of fun. If you like adventure like me there is a perfect bridge to make a flip and jump love it ;)

This beach is a historical site so there is a $3.00 fee to get in. There is restaurant/bar on site. It butts up against a firing range so do not be shocked when you hear gunshots. it is not the white sand beaches of Culebra but the water is clear enough. There is some debris laying around the area and on the beach but not enough that your towel won't cover it. The debris was mostly in the grassy areas. We were there during the week and not during a holiday so we shared the beach with only one other family. My husband snorkeled a little and saw a few fish. The beach is walled off by a stone wall and you can see Castillo San Felipe del Morro from the wall. The wall is actually great because it blocks the rougher waves on the other side of the wall. Definitely take water shoes or good gripping shoes if you are going to walk the rocks. Restrooms are not the cleanest and you may consider bringing a roll of toilet paper in case there isn't any (if you are there during a holiday, chances are high that the toilet paper roll will be empty). There is a historical fort on the premises and we saw some locals fishing off the rocks so if you have a fishing rod, take it with you. Be sure to take your camera with you! Some great views of the Fort across the Bay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isla_de_Cabras

Isla de Cabras is a little island extending over the bay of San Juan where you can have a scenic walk or jog. It's is a short drive from the metro area at the entrance to San Juan Bay with great views of the fort, Old San Juan, and the cruise ships. Designated a National Historic Site, it houses Fortin (Fort) San Juan de la Cruz (also known as El Cañuelo), a small fort that was built by the Spanish in order to defend the entrance to the San Juan Bay, as well as several small ruins. Food is available for purchase and covered picnic pavilions are available for rent. There are beaches for swimming and fishing and a boat ramp. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed it in the shade of a palm tree. You are truly surrounded by water and cool breezes here. Since we went on a holiday, it was very crowded with parties blaring competing music. The restrooms needed attention. Pack a roll of toilet paper, just in case.
