if your going here then pack up a cooler full of drink and food. you will spend a whole day here from 10am until 4pm. try go early as the car park is small and you will have to park on the road. It's only 10 minutes past Maracas Bay and its a nice drive. You do have toilet facilities and showers at the car park and also a ramp down to the beach. The beach is huge and most people sit down around the rocks that run along the beach which provided great shade. They don't have any umbrella or bed hiring or I couldn't see any.You have security, police and life guards constantly patrolling with lots of families around. No cars can get on the beach to blast music like maracas. It's also a more chilled crowd that just ant to relax. I cant swim very well and am a bit scared of the waves at maracas...here you can go out up to your shoulder and just float away and relax knowing your not going to get wiped out. Also, just bought a snorkelling kit so will be trying that the next time I go.

Beach is very clean and well kept. Water is not rough and you can see your feet on any given day. Beautiful landscape and very nice for picnics, etc. There is a white woman who sells really nice jewellery.

This beach is the most well kept, tourist friendly, and safest beach I know in Trinidad.Las Cuevas is located a few moments away from Maracas Beach. This place has HUGE parking space and has places to have a picnic on a soft, grassy hill. The environment is very quiet. The sand is clean and pure. The water is clean and crystal clear and blue.Las Cuevas is far better than Maracas Beach and unlike the latter,it is definitely not shark infested!!

I was looking for a relaxing day at the beach, and that's what I founded. Beautiful natural landscape with small rock walls 50m away from shoreline perfect to get some shadow. Eventhough the beach was very nice I was expecting the classical Caribbean foto scenario with white sand and blue/purple/green endless sea. Far from beach restrooms and small restaurant, $25TT for beach beds.

Maracas is your typical crowded touristy beach. If you want a quieter spot, then grab your bake and shark/catfish and head a little further to Las Cuevas. The beach is decent and depending on the tide, there is lots of sandy areas to enjoy. Be wary of currents and be safe.

Las Cuevas Beach is a quiet and beautiful location - way better than Maracas Beach. The beach is about a mile long and curves around the bay. The parking area and cafe is in the eastern side and the waves are calmer at this end of the beach. At the far end of the beach a river crosses the sand and there is lots of drift wood and sand flies. A great place to go to get away from the crowds.

This is a place where you and the family can enjoy with relaxation. There are steps but the kids love it, place to change where you pay a small fee or you can change by your car. Place to purchase things to eat.

Located on the North Coast, this beach is basic but nice. Many persons go there often. It is a popular beach

The beach here is very picturesque. It is a beautiful bay with a quaint fishing village to the right. Not as large as other beaches but very family friendly. There are no waves here so bathing for little kids is much safer than nearby Maracas Bay. There are bathroom facilities which is always a plus. However food is not always available here but drinks are. The good thing is that Maracas is so close and has food in abundance.

We loved this beach. We visited mid week and it was deserted. Lots of golden sand, shallow, clean water and gorgeous to look at. We walked to the end of the beach and saw quite a bit of broken glass so beware. the setting of this beach was better than Maracas but that is just our view. Good clean shower block in the car park.

This beach is beautiful and has bathroom facilities(you have to pay $1 TTD in order to use facility). Very well kept and has life guards in case anything goes wrong. PLEASE BRING BUG SPRAY AND ANTI-ITCH CREAM FOR SAND FLIES; THEY WILL TEAR YOUR FEET AND ANKES UP! Outside of having hue itches, this beach trip was one to remember!

Las cuevas Beach is one of the safest beaches in the North coast on the island Of Trinidad .There are washroom facilities restaurant and bar, parking ,life guards ,security and and of course the beach is amazing .Before reaching to Las Cuevas make sure and grab a Bake and Shark in Maracas .

My favorite, Quiet, not packed, interesting caves to explore for the kids, great waking on the beach, not as many places to eat open but we went during a weekday at the end of August so it is to be expected. Beautiful scenery, not a lot of parking so go early. Coconut man on the side of the road offering great coconut water for sale. Yum!!

This is in my top 3 trinidad beaches, the others being Maracas and Macqueripe beach. This does not compare to other white sandy beaches found on the nearby Tobago or anywhere else. The sand is greyish in colour and the water very green - do not be fooled by photos! The waves are pretty strong and that's because there are no reefs hence no lagoon. It is a quieter place than Maracas and usually you can buy your Bake&Shark in Maracas and then come relax here.
