A group of eight of us visited in February, 2015. We enjoyed the beach, the views, and the service tremendously. The laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food and drinks made the visit worthwhile. Relaxing and looking out onto the ocean with a Wreck Punch in a colorful Adirondak chairs added that "Island Feel" we all yearn for. There was no crowd when we were there, but I can imagine it can get busy at times. There are areas with tables and chairs in the sun or under shade, but it is a very open atmosphere. Simple to hire a taxi to get there. Loved the cows ambling around as well!

This may be the coolest bar on the island. A popular hangout place. We didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. the beach was a bit crowded for our taste. All the chairs were taken. There were no lounge chairs, only Adirondack style chairs. Worth a visit!

All the beaches on Anegada are beautiful. All the beaches get 5's. This is a review for the Cow Wreck Beach Bar.This bar and restaurant, however, has frustrated us for years. Except for one time years ago, we have been totally ignored here whether crowded or not. We have never understood it. Or, after we are noticed and order a drink, we don't get what we ordered. I have sat next to a couple who are fussed over and given freebies while the rest of us sit there and aren't even asked what we would like to drink. Needless to say, we haven't been back for several years. This year, we discovered that one of the owner's daughters and her husband were going to manage the bar. Andrew, the husband is very personable and we thought we would give Cow Wreck another try. It's much better than it was. We were served promptly with a smile and even were given the drinks we ordered. Things were neat and clean. I believe a margarita was $9 which is $2 more than other places on the island when it's not happy hour. A bottle of Carib beer was more there than other places too. ABC happy hour beer prices are two for $6 and Neptunes has happy hour prices of two for $5. We will definitely go back because I think Cow Wreck is now making an effort to be competitive and a little more user friendly. It's one of the harder places to get to because there isn't a paved road. Still, people who come on boats or ferry for the day seem to like to head out there on foot, scooter or by car. It's over four miles on the road from the ferry dock so it's a very long walk in the hot sun. Walking along the beach is much harder and longer.Street bicycles are available for rent, but part of the road is sand and can be difficult to ride on.The Cow Wreck beach used to be nice and wide between the bar and the water. It is pretty narrow now, but still nice. I'm really hoping that Cow Wreck stays friendlier as I would love to go back.

Don't miss spending some time here while on Anegada. The beach is gorgeous, and this spot is usually calm enough that we can play frisbee in the water (we look forward to this). After all of this activity there's nothing like relaxing with a 'Wreck Punch' or a nice meal if you're hungry. You can play darts by the bar too if you'd like. Wonderful, laid back vibe and really nice people running this place.

Cow Wreck is a very special place on Anegada. The beach is the best on the island, and the bar and restaurant are right on the beach. The West-Indian influenced food is consistently good. Bell has done a wonderful job creating Cow Wreck, and Annie (her daughter) makes everyone feel at home.

Loved this place. When boating around BVI, Anegada is known as the place that takes awhile to get to. It is a bit of a journey, however it is worth it. You have to take a cab around the island to Cow Wreck Beach, but it's worth it. The water is the prettiest in BVI, in my opinion. Go try it, and enjoy water that rivals Turks and Caicos.

If not for the food, but for the wiev! Really good hamburgers, wonderful service, and mindblowing beach. The best part of the already wonderful Anegada.

Loved the beach bar and staff. Snorkeling here isn't so great. Just follow the signs from the west end of Anegada after leaving the ferry dock.

Go early, no people. you can walk for miles. Amazing!! If you get thirsty or hungry there is a bar/grill there with very friendly hosts.

The water is aqua-blue and the sand is white. The beach goes for miles and no other people were seen. We spent a half day there.

I suspect we didn't get to see this beach at it's best. We hired a car and did a tour of the island, the car being a bit OTT as the island is so small. If you've plenty of time and not too much to carry a push bike would be better (we did this a couple of years ago and it was good fun).As we pulled up to the beach it really did feel like we had reached the edge of the world. Apart from someone apparently repairing a roof it was completely deserted. The beach side cabins were all shut up and the place had a bit of a despondant atmosphere. It was also cloudy, which didn't help.We walked along the beach for a bit and the beach was very nice, but we didn't stay long. I'd like to come back at another time of year as I think December isn't a great month for the beaches on this side of Anegada.

While away an afternoon sipping bushwackers and listening to the gentle waves, those with energy join the kiteboarders on the water to join in the entertainment for us lazier more relaxed holiday folks.

We stayed on a boat and took the taxi to cow wreck beach, where we had a lovely stay in the beach for some hours. We bathed in the wonderful clear blue water with marvellous waves and the sand was very nice. The beach was extraordinary. We also took something to drink and some snacks at the restaurant next to the beach. They have great conchs fritters and lobster fritters in a relaxed environment. The ones owning the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. I really recommend you to go to this beach and also to try the conchs fritters on the restaurant.

It is a very nice beach, specially if it is a windy day in Anegada. it has a nice bar and food. we did not stay there in the hotel, but went for lunch and a swim.

Whenever we stay in the BVI. we plan a day or two to visit Anegada. with it's powder white beaches and gin clear waters.Cow Wreck Beach sits on a lovely stretch of sand on on the northwest coast and has an open air beach bar and grill along with beach chairs, free if you get something from the restaurant.A great lunch included fresh lobster and conch fritters. This is a good area for swimming or sunning ,but for snorkleing the better spot is at Loblolly Bay or Flash of Beauty to the northeast. There is ferry service 3-4 days a week from Tortola and Virgin Gorda. that docks near the Anegada Reef Resort, where you can get breakfast upon arrival, then arrange transportation to get you anywhere on the island.
