This is a beautiful natural spot located on Lake Ontario. During the summer it has a huge water spash pad that is looked after by the town. There is a large playground area with swings and jungle gyms. During the summer months there is a snack bar. There are winding scenic paths along the lake for bike riding or walkin. There are many picnic tables and a huge open area for families to have picnics. Parking is free.

Great time and great location with lots of water activities. Bring a book or smart phone as your kids will beg you to stay longer than you planned for.

I've been here a few times with my husbands daughter. The park sits adjacent to lake Ontario so in the fall it can get quite chilly, and in the summer it's the perfect place to get cooled down. It's an alright park, but I wouldn't consider it exceptional in anyway. Usually this park is quite crowded in the summer and parking can be difficult. Personally Riverside Park is far more beautiful with a small splash pad for the kids. I find this park is full of doo doo from owners not picking up after their dog, occasionally there can be broken beer bottles, so make sure your kids never take their shoes off.

Great park on the lake front. Wished I had a bike as the waterfront path was nicely laid out for biking and was quite long.

Went here for a kid's picnic. There are 2 picnic areas. There are no shelters so bring umbrellas or something for shade. The water park has been redone and no more mud puddle!BBQs are allowed. Trails and the lake are close by. There is a concession stand by the accessible playground.

On a last minute Internet search for a park close by we came across Rotary Park in Ajax. It was only a 30 minute drive from our place and it was great! This park is right on the edge of Lake Ontario and has walking and biking trails, a fab playground and splash pad for the kids, tons of green space for picnics, a pavilion with clean washrooms and a pricey snack bar. You could fish or boat in the creek I think it's called duffins creek and we sat and had a picnic on the shore of Lake Ontario watching the boats and geese swim by. It was a wonderful day and we will be returning in the future. One tip is arrive early as although they have a lot of parking it fills up quickly but you can park on the street in front of the park.

Whitby to pickering.our little part in ajax is rotary park. 40 ears ago it was a dirt road lovers lane type place, :)Now it is a modern family destination park, with bike trails toddler pools and vendor paviliona draw back is that it is so crowded on Saturday and sunday, not enough picnic tables or refuse receptacleswe will mention this to Steve Parish next time we see him riding his bike down there :)

We love this park for its long lake paths, which are mostly paved except to the far west side past the board walk. The splash pad is great for kids and the playgrounds are fairly large.Snack bar and washrooms present.Only caution is stay away early spring when the flies are out in swarms! You can't even walk without inhaling some.
