Within easy driving distance north of Metro Toronto and on the shores of beautiful Lake Simcoe is this gem of a course. I have been a member here for more than 20 years and still find this course to be a challenge and a delight to play. The front nine of this cottage country course was designed by famed golf architect Stanley Thompson in 1922. The back nine was added many years later and designed by Bert Turcotte. The front nine features narrow fairways and smaller greens and requires precise accurate shots. The back nine is more wide open with larger greens but features some challenging dog legs and numerous ditches that may or may not be full of water. There are a number of very tough par 3's on both the front and back. The greens staff does an excellent job of keeping this course in superb shape. The Pro Shop staff are extremely welcoming to everyone who walks in the door, pay as you play and members both.

This is a well planned course and is easy for those of us that like to walk rather than ride. It is fairly level and not a lot of distance between the holes. Some challenging Par 3's and a few water hazards. A good day.
