Not for everyone but if you want to see many trumpeter swans, a group winters here at the Marina (on LaSalle Park Road, not at the main park entrance!) Someone comes to feed them around 11:30 to noon and they really get excited and trumpet at volume. These are NOT the typical mute swans you see in parks and they are wild. In summer they live in Northern British Columbia and Alaska but fly South in the fall. Burlington, ON is not very far south and the bay was frozen most of this winter. You could walk on the ice as of Feb. 28, 2015 ... not sure if it is safe after that. If you are in Burlington in winter, and your children are interested in wildlife, it's worth bringing them to the marina to see these swans. BUT, as expected, there are also many Canada Geese, not just the swans.

LaSalle Park is positioned on Lake Ontario.there is a pavilion, trails, wading pool for youngster, picnic grounds, a baseball diamond, docking for boats, ample parking and, in the lake, gorgeous swans! Having lived near this park for over 20 years, my family has enjoyed all aspects that it affords.

Great walk through the trees, there is a lot of different wildlife to watch and listen to. There are many levels on the trails so pretty much anyone regardless of their mobility can take a walk through some or all of them

we love this place from the time the kids were little to almost teens. there are great walking paths and you can feed the chipmunks they are so tame. sometimes some birds as well. the play area has been updated and is fun and safe for the kids and its a perfect place for a picnic or just to sit and have an cream and watch the kids play

If you have children you must visit this park. Free parking, great places to run and play and a perfect place for a picnic. Great hills to go tobogganing in the winter.

is the place for a picnic, either for a family or for a large gathering. Includes a walk along the shore accessible by either stairs or the road down to the marina. Another very short woodland walk at the main part of park. Lots of picnic tables, swings, wading pool, baseball diamond. Can be very crowded in the summer on weekends, far better during the week.

It is a very nice little park, very peaceful. It is not possible to go for a long walk there but there are boardwalks for easy walking. It is fun to watch the birds and swans and to see the boats in the summertime. We love going there. It is a very nice little harbor.

I have parked in this parking lot of this beautiful park several times while in the area. I find it both relaxing and enjoyable by looking at its nature state of wood land trails. Mind you there are baseballs diamonds, a play area and pavilion for people to use as well. I see many people walking the trails plus walking their dogs with the amount of open space within this park. Plan on stopping by here in the near future again to relax!

I took my boys to LaSalle park yesterday. We had the most amazing time wandering through the woods and enjoying the wildlife. It reminded me of my childhood. It was so peaceful.
