loon dollar monument

Just off of Hwy 17, the Giant Loonie monument is a great place to stop for a family picture! The Loonie is a Canadian icon, who WOULDN'T want to get a picture with a giant version of it? I stopped there with my cousin on the way out to our camp (cottage) when he was about six and he played around in the area for a good 10-15 minutes. When I was there last, there was a nice maintained garden, as well as picnic tables to have a quick lunch. There's a small grocery store, restaurant and gas station just down the road to fill up on any essentials.
