I went to Sibbald Point to camp with 3 friends and we had a great time! We discovered this park by chance, on the way to another one. As we were students and didn't have car, it's great that we could go there just by public transportation (TCC and Go Transit). We got the campsite without electricity, which is a good choice if you want peace and tranquility. We could hear the noise from the campsite with electricity, where probably there was a party going on, imagine if we're there! The common areas are good, there are many tables por picnics, and also some places to do sports. The bathrooms are well maintained. It's a nice place to camp close to Toronto, and also a good place to stay all the day long.

This wonderful provincial park is a must if you are in the Area. There is a large camping ground which adds to the population of the park. See it out of season and you will experience a wonderful wilderness. Pop into the museum and see the history of the area

Not too far from Toronto was ok my kids enjoy the beach no flush toilet at camping sites except beach washroom so overall not bad.

We camped with our friends here the week beginning the Monday after the August civic holiday. We camped at many campgrounds but this one was awful. The park and sites aren't bad but they need to hire more staff, put up some instructional signage, and enforce the number of campers per site. Campers continuously brushed their teeth, spit, dumped their left over food and washed their dishes at the campsite potable water stations. People kept bright lights on all night which would light up the inside of our tent trailers. The bathrooms were disgusting. There were lineups for the bathrooms at 11:30 pm. People that Brought water bottles to use as bidets constantly left them on the floor inside the stalls as well as toilet paper. In the men's bathroom, someone trimmed their beard in the sink and left a pile of inch and a half hairs in the sink. That left one of three sinks unusable for over 17 hours. The icing on the cake was the last morning when my friend got undressed to step into the shower only to find someone crapped on the drain. Even at the beach someone poured a bunch of thick grease in the bathroom sink. We've been shaking our heads ever since.......Disgusting!!!!!

In summer the place is always crowded, but there is generally enough space at a site so that you don't feel shoulder to shoulder. The place is relaxing and a good spot for partying if that's what you want. Great picnic areas and nice beach.

If you are a family with young children and/or go to bed before 11pm you will probably like it here. If you like to sit around the fire for a bit longer you will be continuously harassed and threatened by Park Constables (Rangers). Basically this place is not for young people or anyone who likes to enjoy the fire no matter how quiet you are. If you are on a radio site and have your radio at an appropriate volume during the day you will be harassed by park Constables to turn it down/off- this is during the day!! So if you are person who likes to have some tunes going on your campsite- you will not like it here

My fiance and I came for the day. The drive took about 1 hour, pretty easy to find from the major roads. The parking permit for the day was $20. We only stayed in the beach area but from looking at the map, there are tons of camping grounds and a 2 km hike close to the entrance of the park. The beach itself is pretty small and the amount of sand was also small in comparison to Toronto beaches like Woodbine Beach or Scarborough Bluffs. Reminded me of Sunnyside beach on the west side of the Harbourfront. However people actually went into the water here! The water was very sandy and muddy but didn't look too bad. The sand on the beach also wasn't too bad but tons of rocks everywhere. We weren't expecting so many people but due to the small size of the beach, it was very crowded. Tons of families around, not too many couples. Seems like a nice family park away from the city, especially with the park and picnic tables being so close to parking and the beach. I'd come here again for sure.

I went to Sibbald Point for the day with my daughter in June. As usual it was great. The beach us clean and busy. Lake Sincoe isn't my favourite swimming (too many aquatic plants and lake bottom us clay rather than sand), but if I can't get to Lake Huron, Simcoe is the next best choice.

Noisy provincial park. Was slightly better the second night as the loud foreigners next door left. We had sites 320 and 318. Both are nice spacious sites but 318 is next door to the outhouse and it stunk to high heaven on that site. The actual washrooms and showers are quite a walk from these sites. These sites are supposed to be radio free but we witnessed loads of people breaking that rule, breaking the people per site rule and also having children run riot well past midnight. Not very quiet or relaxing. The bugs were not to bad so I guess that is a plus.The beach is jammed packed, not worth it to go there unless you want to feel like a sardine.I am still looking for the ultimate provincial park location. I will have to keep on looking.

It is a nice place to visit, not far from major urban centers. The beach and picnic areas are clean. Visit to Eldan Hall is great. There is only one major trail though, which is not very scenic. The best thing is to go on a regular business day to avoid crowd.

Wanted a night away from the city so rented a site at Sibbald. Easy checking in, site was super clean and well looked after. Bathrooms were clean and well taken care of. We ended up in the radio free zone (I think it was called Crossroads) due to our last minute booking. All families there so I don't recommend it unless you have kids that need to go to bed early.

Sibbald Point offers a super camping experience. This campground is easily accessible from Toronto- about an hour by car, and for those who are interested, it has a lot of on-site resources such as beach, playground, off leash dog area, boating launch and even a museum (i.e. the old house of Susan Sibbald), which offers family friendly acitivities such as candle making. The park is very big, so it is busy at times. On Friday evening at check-in there was a huge line up. This was probably the worst part of the experience as it led to a late evening camping set up. Plan ahead and arrive early. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our site, as the site was fantastic (campsite 215). The camping area had a great woodsy feel, was generous on space, well maintained and offered good privacy from other people camping, a nice fire pit and picnic table. The true outdoor feeling was 100% achieved for our family. We loved just hanging out at our campsite. In my mind, the sites along the main road are less desireable. From our site, which was on a side path, we were close to a water station and the outhouses. There was also a comfort station (flush toilets and hot showers) relatively close by. The campground layout worked well. The friendly provincial park staff did patrol to monitor and enforce the park rules and keep things in good order. We decided to partake in one activity at the museum, which my daughter really enjoyed. We also went to the beach one day. The beach area is huge. Picnic tables, park store and palyground nearby. The downfall about the beach is that it had a lot of seagulls and seagull droppings. But it was still fun and all the kids on the beach and in the water seemd to enjoy. We were all sad to leave at the end of the weekend because we were having such a great time. If you are looking for a camping getaway this is a great choice.

My boyfriend and I went with our two large dogs, we stayed on site #64, it was a HUGE & we LOVED the entire campsite, seemed to be a lot larger then most other sites. It had a trail leading straight to the bathroom, which then lead right to the beach (within a 5 minute walk from our site). The fire pit was a big open area so we had to go purchase a grill to set up for it. There is a corner store right at the park's entrance but I recommend driving less than 10 minutes into town to No Frills for supplies for 1/2 the cost. Firewood at the campground that was being sold was damp, hard to get a fire going & it is pricey. No Frills also has ice and firewood (dry wood that burns great) There was not partying around our campsite, it was private. Lots of children around at this park, seems to be a good family spot. Keep in mind that there is day use available at the beach so on the weekend go early to save yourself a spot; it fills up fast! Nice huge park, lots of places to sit near the water and let the dogs swim away from the beach area too. We went up Thursday and it was amazing having most of the site to ourselves for the night, didn't start filling up until Friday. Water was nice, lots of site workers driving around that are friendly. Mosquitoes are bad, but that is obvious :). We will look forward to returning to this park in the future to camp! (Stayed: July 10-13, 2014)

I went with a Filipino church group and we had a great time .. well maintained .. nice beach area although from the group campsite area its about a 10 min. walk .. small campsite store ... boat lauching ... close to Toronto

My wife and I came here for our anniversary weekend. We had a great time camping, boating, fishing, swimming, and just plain relaxing! The campsites are very big and spacious. Lots of amenities around. Not too close to the neighbors but yet close enough if you want to have groups. Great boat launch where you can launch multiple both the same time and a beach that has some great sand for swimming. The lake itself is beautiful and clean; lots of places to just to thrown an anchor and go out and float. We had a great time! Thanks. We are definitely coming back.
