My husband and I went for a two-hour ride and we loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, both when setting everything up and when answering questions during the ride. The grounds are great too - with a mix of forest trails and open spaces (for going a little faster) - which made the whole experience more interesting. We were lucky to have been the only two people who signed up for two hours - after the first hour the rest of the group went back leaving the two of us with the instructor, basically having a private ride. Overall, it was great and we're definitely going back!

Everyone at the ranch is awesome, needless to say, my wife and I have gone consecutive weekends already and are planning to go again this coming weekend. Friends and family keep asking us to tag them along cause of the portrait. Love how friendly and knowledgeable everyone is and gives me confidence in riding every time we've gone.

First let me say that it was very difficult to find a trail ride that accepted younger children...most had to be 9/10yrs of age. Then I found Wildwood Manor, and I am glad I did! You get so many choices of trail rides (1/2hr, 1 hr, private, pony, lessons etc), or you can spend the day, (Sat only) from 9-4:30pm, called the Western Riding Club, so I figured since it would take us an hour to get there, might as well make a day of it! So glad I did, my daughter loved the fact that we get there before the "trails" open, to help brush, feed, and take care of the horses before they go out! We then get a lesson, which was good for her, as this is her first time controlling a horse, and then off on an hour trail ride, which was BEAUTIFUL.. Came back, had some hot chocolate, then lunch up at the house. You then go back, have another trail ride, and then help around the barn. We had a fantastic day!!! The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially with my daughter. We will DEFINITELY be going back again...the price was so worth it, cheaper then getting two 1hr trail rides, AND you get to spend the day! ($90/person for two 1hr trail rides vs $73/person for the day, including two 1hr trail rides!)

My friends and I wanted to go horseback riding so we Googled' horseback riding near Toronto and we found this amazing ranch. Easy to find and not too far out. Good price, friendly and educational staff. The trail ride went for an hour and it was beautiful, very therapeutic and relaxing. We walked and trotted throughout the trail, it was loads of fun for a first time rider! I would definitely come back and ride again. Great for adults and children alike.

It was my kids' first time riding a horse. Special thank you to Megan who was super patient and very kind. In fact, all the staff was great and so friendly. Would definitely visit again. Easy 1 hour drive from Toronto.

My family participated in the Western Riding Club on Saturdays and helped out around the ranch. The workers were very friendly and took the time to make sure we knew what to do. It was great for kids to do as my children were able to brush and feed the horses. We learnt how to put on a saddle and received some basic riding lessons. Even my 6 year old rode a horse! The workers do their best to partner up horse to riders and they were all very polite and kind. We will definitely do it again!

I have been going to wild wood a very long time and have always loved the place. the riding is exceptional and the service is pretty good. Wildwod has really picked themselves up these past years and turned there property into a top notch western facility. you still have all the awesome perks of the city like bathrooms, AC, and heat but get a top notch western experience aswell. ive brought friends and family many times and they have all loved the place. they love the riding and always wish they could come more often (so do I). ive been on the trails a thousand times and they never cease to impress me. every time I've been out on them there is always somthing new that i see or experience (a few times I have seen dear or foxes run right infront of us). the scenery on the trail is beautiful, your surounded by trees and wild life as well as multiple large open fields. the staff are very helpful and understand how to help us (its like they actually know what there doing). this is a great place to ride also seems to have a cool camp. it seems like the whole camp is horse based which is important if you want a horse camp and not a camp that just has horseback riding. someone also told me that there upstairs have been renovated and since thats were there B&B is held i cant wait to stay there.Great ranch, Amazing service, Calm horses, Over all an amazing western experience. I definitly recomend coming with friends or family for a ride or for a day.

I invited my two best friends to go riding for their birthday a few weeks ago. I was a bit worried about how my friends would react to the horses because they are beginner riders. When we got there the staff was supper friendly. They offered us helmets and asked us what kind of horse we were thinking of riding. We all agreed to have quiet and calm horses. I was amazed at how well the horses were cared for and how gentle they were.At first we only walked but by the end of the trail we were all trotting which was a lot of fun. All in all we had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back!!!!

I have been to this ranch for trail riding a couple of other times with adult friends and since I've always had a positive experience, decided to take my 8-year old daughter here for her first ever horse ride. I booked the 1/2 hour lesson and 1/2 trail ride for her, her best friend (also 8 years old and never ridden before), the best friend's mom and myself. The instructor we had was patient and thorough, she and the lead guide made sure both girls knew how to make the horses walk forward, how to stop and how to change direction. They were given the option to take the horses into a trot (but not pressured to), an opportunity I was pleased to see they both took since that's where the fun begins. The horses we were assigned had very pleasant dispositions and therefore we all had a fantasic experience. The girls would like to do this again, so we'll be back as soon as we can.

this barn is one of a kind. Wonderful staff and well trained horses you'll sure have a smile on you're face when you leave. Wildwood Manor Ranch is a busy barn with lots of riders who come back to enjoy more riding. As one lady said her saddle slipped and she fell off, I believe she was riding a horse named Athena and Athena has a habit that is annoying where you can tighten her girth as tight as it will go and when you go on she stops bloating and the girth loosens. All staff check the girths before riders mount sometimes we even get another staff member to check the girths. Athena is the trickiest with tightening her girth. Wildwood has beautiful scenery and anyone can ride there, the horses love attention and the staff answer all questions and will NOT bicker at you. If you want to go on a great trail ride through the woods, over hills and fields give wildwood a shout and go for a ride!Instead of reading these reviews about peoples experiences go out there and try for you're self! Just because a person had a bad experience doesn't mean you'll get the exact treatment. I have been riding at the barn and even worked there for a little bit for 5/6 years! And each time I go I laugh more and more and love it more each time!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS BARN TO ALL HORSE LOVERS !!!!!!

My boyfriend booked an overnight B&B with horseback riding for February 1, 2014. It was for my Christmas present! He had told me beforehand that there was some not-so-nice reviews but also some good ones so he decided to book it.We arrived in the afternoon, and checked in. Kathy was the one who met us at the B&B and helped to bring our bags upstairs to our room. My boyfriend booked us the Pink Lady Room and it was spacious and comfortable. That weekend was very snowy but pleasant. Shortly after we arrived, we went to the stables to get ready for our horseback ride. When we arrived at the stables, we were greeted, and asked how we were enjoying ourselves. I was already enjoying my time there, with how pleasant the staff members were! We went around to the back of the stables to get on our horses. The snow kept on coming down as we started our horseback ride. It was pretty relaxing though! The horses knew where to go, with no problems at all. We rode out on the trail ride with an amazing guide - very thoughtful about where we went and we actually rode for a little over an hour. It was just the two of us on the ride.We ended up being the only two at the B&B. When we returned after the trail ride, we took our showers and relaxed in front of the fireplace. Kathy had provided us with a lot of firewood, so we spent the rest of the evening relaxing indoors. We brought our own pizzas and snacks for dinner. So as they were baking, we watched the TV and stayed warm by the fire. The next morning we had our breakfast served to us. We had french toast, oatmeal, fruits and coffee. It was delicious! Overall, the entire stay was amazing - the staff are VERY friendly - they kept checking in with us to see how we were doing. As we checked out, they asked us to wait a little while so they could plow the roads for us to get out (there was more snow that fell overnight). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants an enjoyable and relaxing B&B!

Wildwood manor ranch has fantastic staff and wonderful horses. I read below that a lady's horse's saddle slipped and I believe you were riding Athena, Athena has a habit of bloating while doing her girth so when your riding it slips and moves around constantly. So don't get so angry as it's the horses habits not the staffs fault. And the second review, Anette who is the owner of wildwood who has the accent perhaps she had a lot on her mind or was angry and frustrated. You have to understand booking people in daily, cooking, and dealing with complaints and directions is a lot to handle and perhaps she just blew it when you kept asking about the 50% Discount that she had offered. Wildwood is NOT a rude barn it is very friendly. Just because someone is angry or snappy there doesn't mean you should say wildwood is a rude and terrible barn. Perhaps that person is just having a bad day. Everyone has bad days,
