What a wonderful getaway! We packed a picnic and took off. The drive there and back provided a wonderful view of farms and farm animals. The nieces were impressed. Once. We arrived and after paying the 16.00 admission, we had a picnic at a table in the shade. The washrooms and premises and trails are all very well maintained and very clean. There are several choices but we took the 2.2 hike where we saw lots to take photos of: tadpoles, bullfrogs, flowers, etc... Along the way, there are several viewing locations and tables if you want to take a break. Next time however, we would apply insect repellent as we each had a few bites. A great outing not from from a busting city.

Went July 29 it was DEAD. Everything closed, no staff except a survey person to ask what we thought. No one was in the park, in spite of the day - cool and sunny summer day. A bit odd for a park. The trails were nice, but typical of the Niagara Escarpment area, so nothing new. $5 per person, $22 a car load. (Walk free on the Bruce). Not sure they've improved the conservation part, but better management could combine the pool and camping to come back, at least there would be income from it.Very disheartened and disappointed, doubt I'd go back

Wonderful atmosphere, the employee that assisted me today was very respectful and helpful. Will be returning again soon, fishing was ok. The main thing, area is clean and well maintained just as well scenic and peaceful. Big one for me was the friendly greeting/assistance, was not expecting such an outgoing and helpful staff member thank you for making my day just that much better.

What a nice spot with good, marked trails...it's a pretty spot....during the week it's not very crowded which is nice...weekends are more crowded....nice place for a pleasant walk in nature...a place to escape from the rat race some of us live in:-)

I've visited this area annually for over 5 years. In the fall as the colours turn it becomes a very beautiful scenic place. The walking paths are wide and very well maintained. There is a lot of signage now as well. Always enjoyable. There is a nominal vehicle fee to enter the park. Combining this with a meal or aperatif at Terra Cotta Inn five minute away is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. It can get busy on weekends. But weekdays are pretty quiet.

always fun to wander around and go for some fresh air. Good paths. great for a picnic or just get an icecream before you go in and enjoy the grounds.

Our third time here, and each time the experience has been more pleasurable. There really is something for everyone here, ranging from a nice little stroll around a wetlands area to a strenuous hike through mature woodland. And the facilities are exceptional. The cleanest and most capacious restrooms I've ever seen at a conservation area, plenty of picnic areas both secluded individual tables and good-sized, well-sheltered group sites. There are three bodies of water, each offering a different perspective on conservation, and ample fishing opportunities. Although clearly quite popular for group outings and busy today, there were many spots where we could just sit and take in the view in quiet contemplation. A bonus was the multitude of tadpoles in various degrees of development posing for photographs! Definitely worth a visit.

Very well managed, nice place to walk and relax. Ponds with Lilly flowers are excellent. Good place to spend a day. Lot of picnic tables and many hiking trails.

This is a great conservation area with two small shallow lakes. There are great walking trails around both lakes and extending into the forest around the lakes. You can also connect with the public trail to the South. There is plenty to see with animals, flowers, birds and fish. This place is not overly crowded, so most of the time it's like you're the only ones in the park. Clean, peaceful, quiet... what more could you want? There is also a nature program run from this location. Kids can make bird feeders and learn about the birds in the park.

This conservation area is a really nice place to just walk around and get in touch with nature again. Pretty drive up there too.

Ok but the pond is more like a swamp. Very close to Georgetown and Terra Cotta and is located in a rural area near public hilkng/walking trails
