Great outdoor place to skate. Warm shack for putting your skates on. Large and well maintained. Not crowded on our Saturday afternoon visit in late February

I love the groomed x country ski trails in winter. Sorry- no skate skiing. The 15 km of trails are a nice bonus, and the only groomed trails in the area.

I rally enjoyed the trails. I am really glad I got a chance to see the sugar shack....now I have to go back in the winter!

Love this place so close to Kingston! You can walk, bike, ski, skate, bird watch... it is all such a lovely experience!

What a great destination to enjoy nature. This is one of Ontario's many natural conservation areas and well worth packing a backpack and enjoying the scenery.

Visited Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area this weekend for their Maple season activities. The place is very well-run and maintained. We've been here in mid-summer and late winter/early spring.Trails are well-maintained and the grades are easy for walking or skiing. When you're wandering through the woods , it's easy to forget that you're such a short distance from the busy city.I guess that's the whole point ?

I do love coming here so so so much! wonderful place to take peaceful walks and just enjoy the fresh air without the car noise or worrying that you are gonna get run over!

Nothing, but nothing, can compare to feeding chickadees out of your hand! That says it all. It is located close to retail and hotels. The trails are well groomed. Special occasions are common...they have a lot of information sessions and guided walks. It is a must see when in Kingston if you are a nature lover or have young kids.

Took the grandkids to the Maple Syrup festival. Great demos of native and pioneer methods of gathering sap, and turning it into syrup. Love the chickadee tree but it was too cold this year. Great group of volunteers - keep up the good work.

Our sons and their families when cross country skiing at Christmas time. The Granddaughters loved the trails and the chickadees. Great place to take the family for a rewarding outdoor experience. They have many events to go to. You can even plan to have your wedding and reception there. How great is that? Phenomenal place to go.

Little Cataraqui Creek is located just North of the 401 on Division Street/Highway 10. A great system of trails allow you to be in nature just a few minutes outside the city and in the winter the trails are used for Cross country skiing and snowshoeing and they also have a sugar shack that processes maple syrup and you can take the family and watch them make it and sample the product. There is not a bad time of year to visit this little gem

If you want to escape this city, this is a wonderful place to visit. I enjoy hiking along the trails and looking at the wildlife and nature. The place is usually not crowded so that is an added bonus. I will continue to visit this hidden gem.

Seasonal activities year-round--maple syrup making, X-country skiing, skating, hiking, bird watching. I used to train my retrievers in the ponds. Bright, spacious rustic, interpretive center, knowledgeable staff. In the winter, chickadees will eat from your hand.. Great for families.

Wagon ride into the sugar bush to see maple syrup being made and then tasting it on fresh made pancakes. Wonderful family trip. Kids love it!!

We took a weekend trip to Kingston and one of the highlights was an afternoon visit to this Conservation area. It was a peaceful autumn walk along well marked paths through marsh and woodland. It is a beautiful and clean park and appropriate trails for all walking/hiking abilities - not at all strenuous. The most unique part of this experience was feeding wild chickadees and nuthatches by hand. We simply stood with palms up and the birds would follow you through the trees, swop down and land in our hands, grab a sunflower seed and fly off. The seeds can be purchased at the conservatory so you don't have to supply your own! Overall, a nice, peaceful family oriented afternoon at the conservatory.
