Word on the street is the chairlift over sugarbowl will be more than a million bucks to replace. Too bad. That side of this hill was the best skiing at Chicopee. I have been three times this season - it's just ok.Glenn Eden is better quality for a similar price.Don't eat the restaurant - terrible service and below average food. The 20 buck Wednesdays are a good deal though

The tubing was great fun and decently priced as well. The ski slopes looked inviting but they do not run the snowshoeing hikes any more which is disappointing, had looked forward to some great winter hikes!

As a family of five with young children (aged 8, 7, and 5) we were looking for a hill that was close by, not too busy, hills that we could manage, and great staff. Chicopee checked all of those boxes. This was our first skiing destination as family and we had a great time!!! We arrived early at 8:30am because the Guest Services staff informed us that the hill gets busy around 11AM and they were right. Business picks up even more just after lunch. Our lesson wasn't scheduled until 10am but we knew we had to pickup rentals, etc. At the rentals desk one of the Discover Ski School Supervisors (Pepper, I believe was his name) arranged for us to attend a lesson at 9am because there were extra ski instructors during that time period. In addition, Mr. Pepper also arranged for our youngest son to have his lesson with us, which was fantastic! (Children under 7 years can not join the Discover Lessons they must have a private instructor.) Because the hill isn't busy at 9am our family stayed together during instruction, which was provided by the group Discover instructor and the Private Instructor. Having our son learn with us, was wonderful and eased some stress. We are very thankful for the accommodation. As well, because the hill is quiet during the early hours we had 2 instructors for 5 people. Now just some info about the Discover package, which includes a one hour instruction, rentals, and a life ticket. The Discover lift ticket only allows access to a designated area, which is serviced by a chair lift. This area of the hill is for beginners. If you want to tackle a larger hill you have to pay extra. Even though our kids caught on quickly we stayed on the smaller hill as it was our first trip. There is a cafeteria and a pub upstairs. Food is pricey but not ridiculous. Lots of other families brought coolers and must have stored them in their cars. There are lockers for rent. Overall, we had a really great time. We are thankful for very helpful staff.

For a ski hill in the city it doesn't get much better. Chicopee is a great place to try out new skills, and fulfill your skiing needs!

Chicopee is a facility in Kitchener where you can ski, snowboard, tube (which is so much fun) and in the summer they have activities including zip lining. Great family fun! Tubing at night is a lot of fun and you can go in groups or alone

I recently moved around Chicopee Ski Resort. I must say, I am happy to have the trails, the facility that has events year round. They started an Oktoberfest hall up a few years ago and I already bought tickets for this year. A small but nice venue. Pumpkin catapults. I can not wait to get my kids skiing for the first timeLooking forward to spending some more time here for many years!

Today I went for a stroll through the grounds at Chicopee Ski Hills and was delighted at the beauty of the hills and the many attractions that are there in the summer time. It has tennis, bike trails, walking paths and many more things to do on a fine summer day. It is well worth visiting.

As a beginner I loved this place. The hills were small, ski rental was easy, and it was pretty cheap. I had lessons and the instructors were very good. On the downside, for better skiers the hills are very small, but given the lack of mountains in Southern Ontario it's as good as you're going to get if making the trek to Blue is hard.

I do not ski but I love tubing, you will have fun no matter what you do. This place is reasonable price and fun for hours. When you get cold go inside and have a hot drink.

Our kids have done the Christmas camp there this year (ages 4 and 6) as a preparation for a trip to Colorado, and the instructors did a great job with them. They not only understood the basics, but quickly built up confidence to do the blue slopes at both our local hill and the mountains. My lesson instructors have been both patient and attentive to detail, giving me solid advice with every run. We will definitely be back every year.

We planed on going Skiing on Christmas eve day with the family. We originally planed on going to Glen Eden but because of the huge ice storm we had they were close and had no power. I had heard good things about Chicopee and decided to travel the extra 20min and boy was it worth it!The staff were very friendly, and to our surprise they were actually giving out free lift tickets to every one skiing on Christmas eve! I don't know if they do this every year or if it was just a one time gift due to the storm but it was a lovely surprise. The Ski experience here is lovely! it is not too crowded which I have experienced at other resorts. You have enough room to take your time, or bust out some killer moves! The hills are nicely maintained, the snow felt lovely beneath your feet. My only comment is that the farthest Chair lift on the end which is also the oldest has some bugs, it decide to stop randomly on its own. Although the staff were very nice and explained what was happening with the lift, they also said that they plan on replacing the lift next season I believe. The Chalet is easy to get to, and has wide steps! I rely appreciate this as I wear ski boots and they are hard to walk down stairs in. The chalet has a separate are for adults only, so you can get away from all the noise of the excited children in the cafeteria. it has a lovely fire place a view of the hills.I recommend Chicopee to anyone, and I plan on making it our Christmas Eve Destination!

Chicopee is a great place to learn to ski, especially for kids but even for adults. They devote themselves to instruction, it's not too crowded and not too steep, plus the lift ticket prices are reasonable. It's very easy to get to from the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area, with lots of free parking. Equipment rental is easy. They have night skiing, too.

Great place for the family to have some ski time together at a reasonable cost. Our kids have been enrolled in both the summer and winter camps and always ask to go back. They've learned to bike , ski and snowboard.
