Walked through here a lot throughout university and loved the relaxing atmosphere. Not sure how I feel about the caged up animals but what can you do. People need to stop feeding the ducks and geese because its really messing with the water in Silver Lake but again - what can you do short of yelling at people. There are signs everywhere but everyone thinks they are the exception. Rant over. Fun place for friends, couples, family or solo.

One of the best parks I have been to! Christmas time is beautiful as they have an amazing lights show which is great for all ages. The best part is the animals that they have all year round. The donkeys are probably my favourite. They also have a kids waterpark in the summer that is alot of fun. Whether you go here for a relaxing walk or looking for something fun to do in the winter, Waterloo Park is for you.

We love Waterloo Park. the free water park and play places for the kids in the summer. The beautiful gardens, lake and walkways in the fall and the excellent places to play in the snow. Fun for the whole family.

Hi everyone. Visited Waterloo Park this morning - lots of snow around and Black-capped Chickadees hand feeding, so thrilling and such a great feeling! :D A nice place to go walking. Don't think there's any food/drink or bathrooms open in the Winter though?

City is improving this park. There's a small animal zoo, but the way the layout of the park is, the sports fields take up most of the greenspace. The geese take up the rest!

This is home :) ... I love this park! You can show up and wonderful strangers will ask you to play ultimate frizbee! Have a picnic with all your friends and bring your dogs! Watch some criket! I only wish the lake were in better condition, but c'est la vie. Beautiful! Cant wait for the lights of Christmas!

There is usually something exciting happening in the park most weekends. It is important to check the city website to see what is going on. Due to the size of this park, there is usually something for everyone. It is a fantastic place to picnic in the summer.

Lovely park - host to lots of interesting events. Contains a small "zoo" with farm animals like llamas, peacocks, deer and ponies which you can enjoy - but please don't feed! Also has a board walk to stroll along next to a large pond. Watch the swans, coo over goslings, but be mindful of the snapping turtles under the murk.Splashpad for kids was introduced not too long ago - looks like fun, though haven't experienced it myself.Lovely spot for a stroll with a date or family.

Sunday still had some animals for viewing. Yes great for kids, but also for any age wanting to get some fresh air. Lots of dog walkers too! Looking forward to their Christmas lights and decorations always a fun night out walking and sipping hot cider!

Great place for a nice stroll. Great for children as there are animals and multiple playgrounds, sports facilities, trails, a splash pad and wetlands!

A great free spot to take young children. My older kids loved coming here when they were young to see the animals, play on the swings and slides and visit the splash pad. Our littlest one is now developing her own fondness for Waterloo Park.

We love coming to Waterloo park to visit all of the animals (deer, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, mules, alpacas, ducks, etc). During the summer, the splash pad is a nice way to cool off and the kids love it. The playground is a nice large size and has plenty of slides and things for the kids to climb and run on. Highly recommended for a day of free family fun :)
