I took my wife out for a second time this summer as a surprise since she loved it so much the first time we went out with Ron. I caught a pike and had a follow from another very large one. I also had huge musky miss my top water lure and that alone my friends will make you come back time and time again. You will have a shot at a monster with Ron, he's like the fish whisperer. Thanks again Ron!

I have been out fishing with Ron 3 times and each time was better then the last. We went out yesterday and we ended up with 2 pike and a nice Muskie. If your looking for a great time on the water and a chance to land a muskie give Ron a call. I will be going out again next summer for sure.

The most fun ive had fishing in awhile, My dad and i went out to renfrew and met up with ron and in about 5 minutes we were already throwing casts. The guys an expert on muskie fishing and a great dude to talk to, lots of stories and lots of laughs. My dad lucked out and caught the muskie while i had caught a nice pike earlier in the day. Then he brought us to a little rock island and cooked us lunch on the bbq. If your within driving range of renfrew, this is an absolute must and i can tell you we will be coming back next season.

You must do this activity if you are in the Valley area.The four of us had never musky fished and we had a blast! Two close calls with two monsters almost in the boat. It was a beautiful sunny day and the temperature was perfect. Ron is a great guide, easy to get along with and has some great stories and jokes. So stop reading this, pick up the phone and call Ron to book as he books up early!

We had great fun and loved learning to fish... The hours flew by and there was never a dull moment. The highlight was catching a large pike and stopping off on an island for a little BBQ. Ron was a great guide and made the day relaxing and enjoyable for us all.

We had an absolute blast out on the Ottawa River with Ron. Lots of fun and lots of laughs and some pretty sore arms from casting. Enjoyed it so much we already decided we are returning next year. Ron is an excellent guide - patient and entertaining. Taut lines until the next trip!

Each summer, we stay a week in Calabogie, Ontario. Initially, we would hire "Jim" to take us out on Calabogie Lake...well a few years back, he retired. So for the past few years, we've rented a fishing boat and gone out on the lake... Well, not much luck. Now that the kids are getting older and have really started enjoying fishing, I searched the web for area fishing excursions and came across Irish creek Outfitters, and am glad that I did. Apparently, they've been around awhile but I have never found them previously. I called on Sunday, and received a return call later that same day and scheduled an excursion. Ron was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with us... My girls are 9 and 8 years old and between the three of us we got snag on rocks numerous times! I think I lost two of his lures...lol. But hubby caught a nice pike, I caught a catfish... And another small rock bass. Not once were my girls asking to come home... We had a nice bbq on the island, all included in the excursion and hubby was happy he didn't need to keep baiting hooks, untangling lines, etc. It was a nice afternoon and we will be returning next year. If you are looking for someone who knows the area and you want to go fishing then call Ron... You won't be disappointed. Bonus... You don't need to have any equipment, it is all provided! Bathroom provided is an outhouse at boat launch-one of the cleanest I've ever used, or nature.

We bought a Groupon for the 6-hour fishing trip including shore lunch. It was a beautiful day and Ron was a great host. He provided all the equipment which was in great shape and he had an excellent selection of lures and bait. He gave us tips and tried to take us to all the "good" spots. The shore lunch (BBQ hamburgers and coleslaw) was very good - beats the sandwiches that we usually have when fishing! Unfortunately, the fish weren't biting that day - we caught to small bass and a few catfish. But nevertheless, it was a great day on the water and we all had a good time.The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star rating is that it took an email and a couple of phone calls over the course of 2 weeks before we got a hold of Ron to confirm our trip. It's understandable that he's difficult to reach since he's out on the water all day so be patient...All in all - a great day and would recommend this to anyone that wants a fun, hassle-free fishing trip.

My girlfriend and her daughter and friend and my daughter and I went out not sure what to expect. Ron was very personable and put us at ease right away. He was very patient considering we got lost on the way, and very quick. No time was wasted, we were on the water before we knew it. It was so exciting catching the biggest fish I have ever caught in my life and I think he was just as excited about it. He did an excellent job of cleaning it for us, did not come across one bone, and it was delicious. Thank you for a beautiful day. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Thanks again Ron

So we bought a Groupon deal to do a 6 hour fishing trip with Ron at Irish creek outfitters in January 2014 to plan for a fishing trip in the summer of 2014. In January we contacted Ron and booked a trip for end of June on the only weekend when all four of us were available. A month before the set date, I contacted Ron through telephone and email to inquire regarding what we need to bring and what type of fishing license and details regarding the trip, and received no reply. I re-attempted around 6-7 times to contact him through email and phone and again, no answer. Finally, 2 days before the set date, he sent a quick email to say that 'yes the date is confirmed'. Having the confirmation, we bought the Ontario fishing one day license for that date. Then, 12 hours before the set fishing date, he contacts us through email to tell us the fishing trip is cancelled because his guide is unavailable and that we should reset another date. We told him that this is the only weekend that worked for us since we have friends coming from out of town to attend, and that is why we booked 5 months in advance, but he offered no solution and just said there's nothing he can do. Not only did we waste 14$x4 on the fishing licenses, but all my friends' arrangements coming from out of town and booking bus tickets are now wasted. Not only did Ron not answer the 6-7 emails i sent him, but cancelled 12 hours before our trip. very unprofessional. we are VERY disappointed.

We had a phenomenal time with Ron. He put us on the fish and his expert advice was top notch. It was my first time fishing for Muskie with my wife and it was a memorable experience and I will be back this year. Although the weather didn't cooperate we caught a pike and got a few follows from Muskies as well as missed hits from smaller pikes. Hopefully jaws will make an appearance next time. On 2014 05 1 & 2, I went turkey hunting with Ron on the properties he has access to down near Jasper ON. Ron did the guiding duties. It is excellent turkey habitat and we saw many birds. Ron worked hard and had the turkeys coming to his set up. On the second morning I shot a nice jake out of 3 that came in on his calls. Ron is a knowledgable woodsman and an accommodating guide which ensured we had a successful hunt. Martin.

We spent the Family Day holiday out at Irishcreek Outfitters, and we had a great time! Unfortunately none of us caught a fish, but that's why they call it fishing & not catching! They were were friendly and very helpful, and every hour or so, they would come check on us, see if we needed anything etc.. Was a great day, and would go back for sure!Matthew Baker
