In itself, high park can get a little boring, sure it offers free parking and an open natural area to picnic or walk through but that can get repetitive. However what makes high park really special is the other offerings like theatre in the summer, and skating in the winter. Offers a dog park and the zoo is really great too. Definitely a must see - at-least once.

If you are in Toronto. And make sure not to miss the little zoo. Great place to jog or have a picnic.

The best park ever at any season. You will love to walk through the park. You can have a birthday party there, play soccer, take some trails, go to a small zoo or to the playground, see beautiful fountains and plants, feed squirrels, chipmunks and birds from hands (but do it please with right food only!!!), take you dog for a walk (the park has unleashed area to walk with a dog as well) .. you can spend the whole day there with you family or alone. I you will come back again and again...

You can get here by transit and it has beautiful scenery including 2 playgrounds for the kids to play on. One is an average playground, another is at the end of a petting zoo and is shaped like a HUGE castle. Its great but the problems start at the pool. It's overall fun there is a water slide you just need to pass an easy test, but the change room is not sanitary. I went there with my parents and friends, and there was a used tampon stuck onto a stall bench. We went again the next year and that tampon WAS STILL THERE. My mom reported this to the manager who claimed they couldn't get it off. My mom asked if they could at least put the stall out of order and the staff was rude to her. Went the next year still there. I hope it is not there today.

High Park is beautiful. It's an amazing way to get away from the city - in the city. There are main paths to follow, but side trails that can take you out of the crowds too. It's one of my favourite places to hang out.

You can take transit to High Park, or drive right in and park. there are many walking trails, wonderful play areas for kids, and a restaurant to wet your whistle when you need a snack.

This is a wonderful 400 acre park donated to the city in the days when Toronto was just barely stretching that far west. It has its own subway stop and a delightful restaurant,The Grenadier, at the junction of the hill-top view of the lake and road leading to the zoo.Rows and clusters of April cherry blossom trees, near the pond and zoo, mean a maddening crowd and no parking, so the subway is ideal to get there and wander through and take photos.

A lovely place to visit, especially in Spring time when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. A great place for a Summer picnic!

Beautiful lakes, and nice walk. if you visit in May you get to see the "cherry blossom" trees. There is a nice restaurant that has an outside patio to enjoy food.

A natural beauty spot where nature has been left to its own devices. Gentle slopes, trails, ponds and mature trees.

I love High Park. I love it in the summer with all of it's bustling activities. I love to listen to the laughter of kids as they run and play. I love visiting the little zoo and seeing all of the animals. I even love High Park in the winter when you could skate on Grenadier pond (alas the city stopped that...) But, I love High Park most in the Fall. The colour of the trees cocooning this precious space, the vibrancy of the falling leaves, listening to them crunch under my feet as I walk happily through the park. Yes, I love High Park in all seasons.

High Park is one of Toronto's greatest gifts. Deeded to the city by its former owner-John Howard, it continues to offer a quiet refuge for the mad city...as well as the lovely Grenadier pond. The pond is an historic site as is Colborne Lodge found on the parks South end.High Park offers community gardens for growing plants and vegetables..and at the west side, on the path leading up from the pond, there is the famous cherry trees, donated by Japan decades ago.The Cherry blossoms are still a huge draw in spring. The Grenadier restaurant is a little oasis after a day of hiking, birding or just walking in this vast green space, and they offer full meals or just a great cup of tea or coffee...and maybe a Spanakopita as Greek food is their specialty. Skate at the rink in winter...check out the cherry blossoms in spring, sit by the pond in summer and hike the trails in fall...High Park is a glorious inner city experience that should be on everyone's list.

This park is quite big!! It is perfect for a stroll, or a romp with kids, or dogs or a partner. There is an ice rink in the winter, picnic tables in the summer and a dog park for the dog to meet other dogs. Enjoy!! Its worth it!!

I've been to High Park two times, during the summer and the fall. Both times were very pleasant. I could make a picnic and to enjoy the weather outside. The zoo there is really nice.
