It's actually scary (dare anybody to try to make it through without a scream) and a thriller to go through! Definitely recommend :)

I did not want to go but after a glass of wine I decided to give it a change. I made my husband hold me so tight!!! I kept saying out loud " I have a heart condition", which I don't but it made me feel safe! What a thrill to have made it through!!! Total fun!!!

This was one of the most if not scariest haunted houses I've ever been to. So awfully scary. I actually tried to chicken out and go out emergency exit-- I was repeatedly saying nightmares and all I hear was a creepy girl voice saying "not that way.." I'm a chicken. But it scared even the bravest people in my group.

Scary!!! We had so much fun. It's insane. I will recommend this to people who can handle scary situations.

I have been going to nightmares multiple times a year since I was younger. It still scares me every single time I go and honestly it is my favourite haunted attraction I have been too. The actors are great, the pitch black is terrifying and the layout is perfect. This is an excellent attraction and I recommend it to anyone going to Niagara Falls, this is the Haunted House to go to.

I failed my first attempt at the nightmare factory. After observing the nightmare factory at home on the local daily mail newspaper I thought that it must be something horrific. So, I got myself worked up. I got to the doors, my partner walked through the doors and I froze at the steps. We left without entering. After much reluctantly and regret I was adamant I would pursue on the second attempt the following night, which I did.Well, we arrived and were checked in by a young gentleman and proceeded straight through. What a disaster. Just awful. Nothing remotely scary. You walk through the darkness and follow a red dot. If you want this fear factor you can create it right in the comfort of your own home. Nethertheless, I was excited for the famous photo of us both jumping on top of each other in terror at the end. Well. That didn't happen, all that was seen was the pair of us linking hands, guiding each other through the darkness with a broken brick wall behind us. Oh, horror! What a shambles!Save your money and watch a horror film. Please do not take this as a negative hard knock, "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" review because I hate horrors, I hate the dark, I jump at the smallest thing and did at Universal's horror house in LA but not here; not at all.

We had a family reunion and had many people from ages 10 to 80. While walking around the tourist area of Niagara Falls, Ont. we stumbled upon Nightmares Fear Factory. We had passed many "haunted houses" but this one seemed very different from all the rest. Our hotel staff highly recommended this activity saying how much fun it was to get scared. We all decided to go through the attraction and IT WAS AMAZING! I was with a group of Dads that went alone as a group and we acted, laughed, and felt like we were little kids again. Our hearts were beating and the anticipation of what was going to happen next was so refreshing. The group laughed for days about what happened at Nightmares and we still make fun of each other about how we acted like little kids. I would absolutely do this again! It is not for the faint of heart........it is quite scary but exhilarating at the same time!

Fun time with my girls. Got scared enough they came to get us. Careful for injuries and ensure you can crouch down ok and have no medical issues prior! Dont touch anything you shouldnt!

It was the best haunted house experience I've ever had and trust me I've seen a lot. I don’t remember if I ever laughed and scared at the same time like this. One of the best things to do in Niagara falls. Plus the employees are the best.

My husband talked me into going and it was so scary that I almost wanted to get out at one point. I held onto him the whole time. We actually made it through and I was relieved that it was over. We thought it was neat that they take photos from inside and we could see in our faces how scared we were. It was great!

I love this haunted house. So far its the scariest one I have been to and although my wife was ready to call it quits we made it though. On occasion I like to go back to the website and see how many have chickened out to date and know I was not one of them!

Myself and two of my friends were in Niagara Falls to celebrate 20 years of friendship (we met when we were 20...and all three of us are now...old. <G>) and, since we used to watch a lot of horror movies together, we thought a haunted house would be something "fun" to do. Having gone through our fair share of haunted houses over the years, we didn't have high expectations for an attraction on the tourist strip. Figured it's be more kitschy than anything. We were wrong. The atmosphere at Nightmares was amazing—you just "get in the mood" before you even enter through that "first door" leading into darkness. And actually getting through that door was hard! And once you go through that door, it's a downward spiral of terror! I don't want to go into details on what you're going to go through once you've passed through that first door, but I can tell you, you will not be disappointed! We had the living #$*& scared out of us...over and over again! By the time we made it through, we couldn't speak—our throats were horse from all the screaming we did. After coming out of Nightmares, we were hooked and went through a couple more (different) haunted houses on the strip—they were good, but nowhere near the experience we had at Nightmares. So, if you're looking for a real scare, Nightmares is, without a doubt, the place you want to go! We will definitely be going back there!

First off: You should really see the douche-bag meat-head running the entrance. Sportin' a wife-beater in winter so you can show off your guns...really? Ugh. The only thing worse than his ridiculously weather-inappropriate attire was his personality, or lack-there-of. Something tells me that the staff from Nightmares must themselves be leaving all the awesome reviews... This is nothing but a pitch-black building in which you are to follow little red lights in order to make your way through. No special effects; no live actors chasing you or jumping out and scaring you' nothing but blackness and noise. The odd loud bang or crashing sound caused me to jump a little and I am a huge chicken. This place really blows. Didn't visit the other haunted-house type attractions at Clifton, so I cannot offer a fair comparison, but as haunted houses go, our local boys and girls club puts on a much scarier event.

Teenages loved it! Even if you don't go in you can stand outside and listen to the screamers inside as they have loud speakers out on the street!
