Good hike, especially if you have a dog! Very nice for all seasons, and a nice quite escape from the city.

Great trails throughout this part of the city. Signage needs to be improved - can easily get turned around and lost if you are unfamiliar with the city. You can download a map from the city website, but it's pretty small print. It is very peaceful in this area. Good for hiking, biking and snowshoeing. Recommend checking it out!

Great little getaway where you do not feel that you are in the city anymore. The only problem is the lack of signage and directionally challenged people such as myself tend to get lost.

The Ardagh Bluffs are a great escape to nature nestled in the southwest end of Barrie. This large park has paths for hiking and bicycling as well as lots of mature trees making you feel nicely removed from the surrounding city. You can access it from several different entry points along Mapleton Avenue.

Barrie's biggest park is also one if it's least known. Great place to go for a hike, a bike or geocaching. The park is filled with trails, streams, and beauty. Great place to spend time outside exploring.
