The Studio Theatre is a lovely Little Theatre seating 260 people on 3 sides with the stage in the middle. I have been many times and it is a cozy setting for some great plays. Located in the heart of Stratford, I would park at the cooper site otherwise it is metered parking downtown. Treats, beer & wine are served here during the theatre season.

seats squished into the corners where it is impossible to see the stage, and a snarky usher screeched "no pictures !" that's only during a performance dear, after is perfectly fine and good (free)advertising.

The Studio Theatre is the fourth Stratford Theatre. (I wrote about the other three theaters in my review of the Patterson Theatre.) The studio is built like the Patterson--a long narrow stage with seats on three sides. It's a small gem of a theater, and is often used for small, intimate plays. The directors of Stratford know what will work in which theater. If you look at the schedule, and you see that a play you want to see is at the Studio, go for it.Seeing plays at the Studio is an exciting, personal experience.

This theatre is small, intimate, and all seats are great ones - just saw this play and it is amazing. If you go to the theatre in Stratford, make sure you attend one at this theatre - it is a wonderful experience.

Great Play. Small Intimate Atmosphere. Quite Mature Subject Matter - not for kids (nudity etc...) - but very well acted. It would serve them well to turn the AC on in the lobby though. It was quite warm in there before the show and during the intermission. A great place to see a play though. Only seats about 200 and every seat is great.

The design of the Studio with steeply raked seating to make optimum use of a smallish space means everyone in the audience has a good view of the stage. The acoustics are fabulous too. Love this theatre and the innovative .productions you see there.

My daughter had back surgery months after we purchased our tickets. As soon as we walked in the usher was concerned and modified our seating arrangement to accommodate her limited mobility.

The Studio Theatre is an intimate setting for unusual plays performed by the outstanding members of the Stratford Festival players. I highly recommend this, and all the other Stratford Festival venues.

The studio is an intimate space with great acoustics and sight lines. The tiny budgets are spent on superb talent - director, actors, stage management and technical crews. No fancy sets or costumes - the play is the focus. Always presents theatre that is thought-provoking. I love it.

This theatre is lovely, but you might not see everything if you are seated on the sides. Also, the seats are less than comfortable.

When they dim the house lights, you are captivated by the stage action. This is a lovely, intimate theater. Beware if you are afraid of heights. You want to stay closer to the ground, although the experience from the upper seats is amazing.

I was pleased when the Festival added the Studio Theatre. It offers the opportunity for new and sometimes more experimental plays. And we are so close to the actors; great involvement.

We have seen some exceptional theatrical presentations in this intimate theatre. It lends itself to small cast productions like this year's tour de force, "Taking Shakespeare". Not a bad seat in the house - sight lines and acoustics excellent.

I usually enjoy the more intimate setting of the Studio Theatre, but this time we were in the second to last row of their stadium-style seating. A challenging climb! Our usher kindly asked her supervisor if there was anything closer, but she quickly dismissed that idea. And then we noticed two front row seats that were vacant when the show began. Someone else happily moved into them for the second act. We didn't ask again because of the steep climb (didn't even venture a restroom break during intermission). The play itself (Taking Shakespeare) was interesting, but I'm sure my experience was colored negatively by the uncomfortable seating. I'll think twice before returning to this theatre.

Martha Henry in "Taking Shakespeare" and Lucy Peacock in "Thrill" both gave marvelous performances. We particularly liked "Thrill", a new play which deals with the issues of severe disability from the standpoint of the disabled person.
