Beautiful park like setting right near Parliament Hill. A great walk during Tulip Fest in May when you can see all of the flowers in bloom. It's a great park to walk around and enjoy nature right in the heart of the city.

We were in Ottawa at the time of the changing of the colours in the trees. The walk in and around this park was beautiful. The weather was a bit cool and overcast when we were there but there were still a lot of people in the park.It is a must to see whilst in Ottawa

Lovely park located next to the Byward Market and behind the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and near the National Gallery of Canada. People and dog friendly (on a leash) park with lots of well manicured lawns, bushes and great look outs viewing the Rideau Canal, the Parliament Buildings, the Ottawa River and across to the Quebec side.. old Hull. Especially lovely in the Summer to just bring a book to relax.

I love this little park, no matter the season or time of day. It has a substantial view of Gatineau and the Parliament Buildings. If you possess any knowledge of ancient history in Canada, you may be able to appreciate the geological features as well as the significance of the cultural heritage landscape from this vantage point. Above all, visit when the flowers are in bloom. You will really enjoy your visit to Major's Hill Park!

It is a nice peaceful place to have a moment to yourself or just to relax. It is nestled right in the middle of most of the key attractions in Ottawa. A good place to sit and catch your breath after viewing the Parliament Hill, the War Memorial, the Rideau Canal, the Byward Market, the Notre Dame, the Art Gallery, or Gatineau. A good view of the hill, the canal, the river and Quebec. Great in early and late autumn. Not sure about the other seasons.

Not quite sure I would call this a hill; where I hail from hills are a lot higher than this! But it is very pretty, mid-Summer at least, beautifully maintained and clean, and with lovely views of the river and beyond.

This is a very beautiful and well-maintained park, also located near the city's many attractions. Sit on a bench facing the Ottawa River to enjoy the view of the Parliament.

Situated on a hill overlooking Ottawa River, this is a beautiful park to take a leisurely stroll. Easily accessible from the Fairmont side of Rideau Canal or from Byward Market. It connects to Nepean Point at its northern end. Expect to see a lot couples making out if you happen to pass through here on your way to the Byward area from early evening to late at night.

This city centre park is a peaceful haven to rest, sunbathe and to take in some people watching. Giving great views over the river and the Ottawa Locks, it's well worth a visit.

After going through the Byward market a friend and I explored this park and made our way to the parliament buildings and so on. This is a great park for activities as well as a view of the river, Parliament hill, the locks and more. Definitely a must visit

Excellent park in the center of downtown, lots of great views and neat things to look at, keep your eyes open and you may see a ground hog in the gardens :-)Great place to bring a sandwich and a drink and sit out on a bench to people watch. Great views of parliament, the locks, and gatineau hills; take a walk behind the chateau while there so you can see the canal system

After a busy day of sightseeing this nice and clean park was the perfect way for us to relax a bit and let our one-year old run around. The park is situated next to the Rideau Canal with its locks and provides magnificent views on the canal, Parliament Hill and the Ottawa River.

We enjoyed a pleasant morning walk here. It is a beautiful park, with a location that allows views of many things that make Ottawa special (eg. Peace Tower, Parliament Hill, the canal and locks, etc.).

Thepark is well located and close by everything. Take a lunch and sit on one of the benches in the shade and enjoy the day or the afternoon.
