I love to walk around Ojibway about once a week. If you take the paved trail it's short but you still get to see all kinds of birds and animals. I've saw raccoon's climbing up a tree near the visitors center and plenty of deer your sure to see at least one anytime you visit. Check out the Screech Owl through the visitors center window, he's real cute! Walk the meadows in the spring and look for stick bugs or praying mantis but watch out for all those snakes. In the summer the river and ponds are full of turtles and frogs. The plants and tree's you can find here are just as beautiful,I love to walk the back longer trails so quite and peaceful. Plenty of parking and the best part: It is FREE!

This place is a fun visit. Wildlife, paths, a nice new nature centre. Glad we have this in our area and a good place to visit for tourists. Also, bring a camera, many photo opportunities.

Ojibway has a great variety of nature trails. We take our dogs here often throughout the whole year. Each season has it's own special things to see. Great birding, flora and fauna. Peace and tranquility at no charge.

This park is great with all the different plants. Go for a walk and see many animals including deer and several species of birds. I brought my dog here and he loved walking down the paths. Great place to go to if you love nature. You won't be disappointed.

Many folks do not know this, but Ojibway Nature Centre and park have the most variety of plants and species in one area next to the rainforest. Really! We are lucky we have this nearby and I do hope you check it out, so much to see any time of the year! Inspiring, peaceful, and overall a great place to visit, be a part of nature again and see this place.

The Ojibway nature centre is maintained by ERCA and is a great place to check out if you are a nature lover. After visiting the Center, you MUST go for a walk through the ojibway park. There are deer and different types of birds you can see. Overall, it is a very fulfilling trip. There is no fee associated with it. And you will have to get there biking or by car, from the City.

The park like atmosphere with its superb walking trails, delightful scenery, especially in the Fall and a perfect nature center, set up with displays and interactive stations for kids to play and learn about the environment around them we saw owls nesting in a tree which was a bonus on our visit.

This is a natural habitat of species of animal, plants, trees, reptiles and bugs. Wear long pants and sleeves. Ticks inhabit the nature trail. Bring a camera. While walking a cross a bridge over a ravine i walked into a young deer. It was as tall as me and momma was standing near by. It was a beautiful site.

Very fun for kids and adults alike for a nice nature walk with lots of deer roaming around. Fall colours are wonderful and the nature centre has some interesting exhibits. Just a nice place to have a picnic or just walk around with a coffee and enjoy the outdoors.

One of our favourite outings is packing a picnic and heading out to Ojibway. There are lots of tables (many in the shade) and the new visitor centre is excellent (and spotlessly clean) with washrooms, water fountain, small store, exhibits (including some live reptiles), rental rooms (which we did in the past with a nature guide and our kids loved it - a bit pricey for a child's party but worth it), and a glass wall with bird feeders and a pond on the other side. There are some small activities for kids too.Depending on how much time you have or who is with you, you can pick smaller or longer trails. There are areas along the way to stop, sit, relax, etc. including ponds and small bridges. You can usually spot some wildlife and we see deer on about 50% of the time. I wish there were more exhibits or they rotated them more. The trails could also be marked more/better. People should note that while there is a good parking lot, if the rooms are rented you may have to park across the road and cross the busy road; if you have children with you then take advantage of the pull through near the visitor centre and drop everyone off before you park.

Ojibway Nature Centre is absolutely unique in that it preserves the natural beauty of our local area of which there is very little left to enjoy. Endangered and at risk species of plant, reptile, insects. Visit the Ojibway Prairie opposite too. The staff are helpful whilst the new nature centre has exhibits to view and for the children to touch and feel. Bird watching in the warm while sipping hot chocolate during those cold winter months is most enjoyable. Festivals for the family are always fun and well attended.

You don't have to go far in Windsor to get away from all the city lights. On Matchette Road in west Windsor there is this fantastic nature park. You can hike the paths through the woods and observe all kinds of wild life. There is also a building you can go into and learn about the animals, plants and have some hands on experiences. This is great for nature lovers and the whole family.

Visit the nature center to see different types of wood and compare them. This is a good way to kill some time for free.

Travelled to Windsor for the Spring bird migration and after spending the day at Point Pelee, I wanted somewhere close by for late afternoon walks, and Ojibway fit the bill in spades. The trails are well groomed, clearly marked and the staff both knowledgeable and helpful. The live snake exhibit inside the Centre fascinates children and adults alike and the bird feeders outside the large picture windows prove to be a source constant activity. This is definitely a conservation area/park worth visiting. It’s clean, convenient, offers something for the entire family, is pet friendly and admission is free – you can’t get any better than that.I was very impressed.

Nice pavilion, trails and photo ops. Wildlife abounds, everything from birds to deer. Wheelchair accessible and plenty of parking.
