This was just an awesome trip. On this trip I went with my boyfriend, who has never been on a horse before, and was actually scared of horses/heights before this trip. I've always loved horses and so I dragged him along on this excursion. So when we got there we were greeted with this really nice lady, she had dark hair, I BELIEVE her name is Katie but I'm not entirely sure because we went during the Summer. We went on the ride with two little girls that their parents brought(they didn't join). Me and my boyfriend were at the back of the line and the horses they we were riding were just stunning. I had a pretty good laugh because my boyfriend was put on the largest horse they have. I was kind of jealous because he was just incredible. We didn't let the lady know he wasn't fond of horses or heights so she didn't do it on purpose.I particularly enjoyed my horse as well, they all have differently personality's. My boyfriend got the last laugh because my horse didn't always listen to my direction and went a different direction then all the other riders. Which he continued to express how she's just like her rider. The instructor was fantastic about safety and always had an eye on us since we were in the back. My boyfriend felt comfortable and had a great time as well.I would definitely suggest to wear bug spray as your going through some heavily wooded area's. I think it was just an incredible ride to be able to get away from the city and just enjoy the outdoors and a new experience. I'm from Niagara Falls, so I will definitely be back this summer. We had an awesome talk with the instructor at the end of the ride for about 20 minutes and it was just a great end to the day. And for the price! It was only 45$ each, which is the best price your going to get in the area. Thanks so much for the experience!

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at Niagara Riding Stables for what was our first riding experience. This was perhaps the most memorable things we got to do over the course of a weekend long stay in picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, and it was located only 20 minutes from the inn we were staying at in town.We were greeted by friendly, personable and knowledgeable staff who took all the necessary precautions to have us fitted with helmets, go over proper riding procedures, etc. and completely put us at ease. The horses are incredibly well behaved and it is obvious that they are cared for exceptionally well. The trail was 60 minutes, and featured some great elevation changes. The trail itself is absolutely beautiful, especially this time of year, and our ride culminated with a family of deer crossing our path - we couldn't have planned a more perfect ending! We're looking forward to coming back soon for another trail ride!

This was one of the things my girlfriend and I liked most about our five-day trip to Canada from the US. We visited in the autumn, on a mildly rainy day. Despite the weather, we loved the scenery and the experience (my first time in many years, and my girlfriend's first time) of riding. They are very knowledgeable and know their horses well, and the horses look well cared for. They were also very accommodating - we had shut our phones off and so we missed their call asking if we were still planning on visiting, even though it was supposed to rain. When we got there they had prepared for the ride in case we did decide to go anyways, even though it was just the two of us. For first-time riders like us, we'd highly recommend Niagara Riding Stables.

The horses are beautiful and well cared for, the service is personal. The ride has nice elevation changes, but would have liked an area where we could canter a little more. You will end up on top of the Niagara escarpment, but trees block most of the view below. (Many leaves had fallen in late October, which helped). The nearby highway can be heard throughout the trip and seen periodically. These points are not necessarily bad, just worth disclosing. We had a geat time!

I went with my girlfriend for horseback at Niagara Riding Stables. It was a pretty easy place to find via GPS and only 13 minutes away from casino area in Niagara Falls. We went on a Friday morning at 11. We were fortunate to have a private ride since we were the only two that showed up. Once we got on the horses we were pretty nervous as we have never done horseback before. Horses were beautiful and pretty well behaved. We had Mack who was about 10 and Piper who was about 20yo. We loved them! Kelly was very friendly and patient. She has quite a bit if experience with riding. We road along a forest trail which was beautiful. A lot of autumn leaves. No bugs during this season. Ride was about 50 minutes. We felt it was well worth it. We would definitely come back again

My husband and I made a visit to Niagara Riding Stables while on our honeymoon. There were 3 other young couples when we went, and pretty much everyone was a beginner or close enough to make no difference. We were paired with horses based on size and experience. The trail is basically through the woods and fairly hilly. A couple of riders had difficulty steering their horses but all the horses were mild tempered. We were very impressed with the staff. They took time with each of us before we got on the trail to tell us about our horse's personality and quirks and how best to interact with him/her. The only down side for me was that, because I was in the back of the line throughout, I couldn't hear anything our guide was saying. I didn't mind much and enjoyed the quiet. Afterward, the staff took the time to take pictures of all the couples together on their horses. We had a great time and will definitely return to Niagara Riding Stables if we are in the area again.

My girlfriend and I have been trying to go out for a horseback ride for almost a year and finally had the opportunity to make it to Niagara Riding Stables this past Saturday. We had a great time. The horses were well behaved and obviously well cared for. I was paired with Bailey and for the most part had no problem with her except when she unexpectedly veered from the trail slightly to "relieve" herself lol. Other than that as a first time rider I felt very comfortable on her. The location was nice and the trails provided a variety of terrain and scenery. I only gave 4 stars because of somewhat small reason. It was a very warm day and our ride was at 3pm so I wore shorts all day and did bring pants with me to ride in but the only real place I was able to change was in a port-a-pottie. It's a somewhat small detail and I wish I could give 4.5 stars. I would recommend this place to anybody wanting to ride. We even had a young girl in our group of I'm guessing around 8 years old and she seemed to be having a safe and enjoyable time.

My boyfriend and I visited Niagara Riding Stables and went for an 11am ride. We got lucky since we were the only ones booked for this time so we pretty much got a private ride. (the ride after us at 1pm was fully booked). Our guide Kelly was very friendly, knowledgeable and had many years of riding experience. I was nervous at first since I had very little experience riding, but she quickly made me feel very comfortable. She ensured we were both feeling confident and secure on the horses and off we went. Both horses were very well behaved the entire ride and the trail was beautiful! We both loved this experience and would highly recommend it.

My fiance and I had a great time with Dinah riding her friendly horses - they really all do have their own unique personalities. We had Piper and Vegas and had a great time for our first horse ride. Based on our experience levels, Dinah picked great horses, gave us some instructions on how to handle the reigns and took us through a beautiful forest for an hour long trail ride. You can tell she really loves and takes great care of all the horses. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our trail ride hugely. The horses were lovely, and did all the hard work, guided ably by Dinah. A lovely setting on the escarpment, and with the trail passing vines and through shaded woodland. Highly recommended.

I am inexperienced rider so this was the perfect choice for me! It was a nice trail with well-trained horses and professional staff willing to answer any and every question we had. I thought it was a little expensive, but overall, it was a great experience for a beginner!

We really enjoyed the trail ride and the horses were beautiful and well trained. The only thing I would suggest is more staff around when you are first there. It would be a little more efficient if more than one staff were assisting people onto the horses at one time. I was the second one on the horse and by the time everyone else was on I was already a bit sore. So that would be my only suggestion more help to get everyone onto their horses. Otherwise it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it, and do it again!

Pretty good first experience, horses very cute with their own personalities, employees were very nice and informative, beautiful forest scenery. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that only 1 employee accompanied us on the ride. She stayed in the front leading us but I feel they also need to have an employee in the back following as well. The employee in front was not able to keep an eye out, and my husband had a few little scares during the ride (horse got spooked and began to gallop away, also the same horse tripped over a tree branch and fell forward). If there was an employee following as well as leading, I think the riders would have felt a lot more comfortable, especially first time riders which my group seemed to be.

As a birthday surprise, I took my partner horseback riding for the first time this past Saturday. It was incredibly fun and a memorable experience! The owner Dinah, her husband and another lady who guided us were so friendly and helpful! All the horses were adorable! I rode Bebe and my partner had Storm. Dinah paired everyone with horses with similar personalities, and I have to say, like Bebe, I also do not enjoy being tailgated and passed over! It was so awesome how it worked out without Dinah really knowing me! We were well prepared with sunscreen, long sleeve, jeans, and bug spray. It was a little hot out, but we were riding through the escarpment under the shade. It was so fun and I highly recommend this place to anyone!

My friends and I have gone on rides with this company twice. The first time there were several other people along the second time it was just the two of us. I was given bailey both times, she is a stubborn one but the guides are always close by to help out and give you tips. I never felt like I was out of control. My friends both got king. WOW what a huge sweetie pie of a horse. They didn't even need to hold the reigns, he was perfect. This ride is a great time frame and you can tell the owner really cares about her horses. Will be riding here again in the future. Remember to print out and fill in the disclaimer before going. It saves time. And hit the bathroom before going.
