Be sure to add this area to your trip , some fantastic scenery and wonderful wildlife.Visit the Ghost Town at Quesnell Forks, see how the original settlers lived. If in this region at the end September, check out the Salmon runs here. There is an annual event here please check for dates prior to visit. This is a remote location an well worth some quality time here for the wildlife at Horsefly forks. Also be sure to take a ride throw re Beaver Valley road, the wildlife here is spectacular, including Bears, Eagles, Hawks, Dear, Moose. Be sure to drive slowly and have Cameras ready. This is a road a car can navigate, you don't need a 4 WD, unless in Winter.Plan to spend time here to see the best of the scenery and of course wildlife.

This place is a bit off the beaten path which is why it's such a hidden gem. Very few people come here. The campground is nice but a bit small for big units. There is no cell service so if you have health issues, stay away. The one thing we did find was it was a bit spooky. Some of the "locals" are......how do you say.....back woods people. We saw one house that had a wolf fenced in it's yard and there are quite a few miners that live in little trailers. Probably all good people but I wouldn't come up here with the family. If you are into boating and fishing, I can't think of a better place other than fly in fishing resorts.

Quesnel lake is all of the above. Our annual fishing trip is a highlight of early summer. Trout, long days on the water, eagles, bears. Gourmet dinners late in the evening. A few or more beers. No cell phones no tv and especially no wives allowed.

We go every year as we ar from Quesnel. One of the most beautiful places to camp in the area, huge mountains with snow on top, Islands and beaches with white sand, and the water wasn;t too cold.

I think this just another regular lake in the middle of a forest. ther are thousands of lakes like this in BC. But it was relaxing to be there and be in contact with nature.

Great place to camp and fishing is awesome. Find a campsite, they are all nice.

If you're looking to go for a swim while in Quesnel try the provincial park at Ten Mile Lake. Lots of great fishing, ask at Frank's for some great tips.
