Did a day trip to get fruits & veggies from the local farmers. Stopped here for lunch and try a couple of their wines. Wow! Should have made this a stop a long time ago. The wine was lovely, the food great and the staff fabulously friendly. It might be a bit off the beaten track but well worth it.

On our trip back to Victoria a friend and I decided to stay here for one night. We arrived around 10.30pm after a dinner in Osoyoos: we rgretted that, since the owner told us he was keeping the kitchen open for us to have a dinner there! A pity we didn't wait! The B&B is super clean and the rooms are absolutely the cutest thing I have ever seen: everything you need. And in the morning the view from the patio is breathtaking: all the orchards and the vineyards, with the peace and quiet you can expect from a place like this. The owners are nice and friendly, with that European hint I love! And their dog is super cute and friendly and she kept me company while I was working in the patio: cutie!!!We only had to stay one night but that was a shame: I definitely want to come back!

My husband and I were riding our motorcycle home from Osoyoos and we were starving. He saw a road sign saying "Crow's Nest Vineyard - Restaurants" and he took the turn off the highway. We got there at 11:30 am and they didn't open until 12 pm. But they opened early for us and we sat on the patio overlooking the vineyard and had a lovely glass of wine. When our food arrived - pulled pork sandwich with salad, crab cakes, a day scallops, I couldn't believe how amazing everything taste. The owners who run the place are very friendly and so is the dog. We will definitely come back here again the next time we are passing through!

We've stayed at this modest Cawston B&B 3 time now in the past few years and have never been disappointed. Nothing flashy but good food, good drink and very enjoyable if you want authentic German 'Langasthof' ambience and attention from your hosts. Beautiful views and quiet! A pool would be the only thing missing if you wanted to extend your stay. While Crowsnest wines are drinkable 'table wines', they are not top tier. However, a few of the Similkameen wineries close-by are excellent. This area is definitely coming into it's own but (fortunately) lacks the Osoyoos/ Kelowna hype.

Having found this place by accident a couple years ago we were happy to stop in again on our way home from the 1/2 Corked Marathon. By far the best wine out of all the places we stopped in Oliver/Osoyoos. Also had lunch and the food was great. A must stop anytime anywhere near the area.

After checking their website which looked very appealing with a selection of wine and tempting food, we drove out from Osoyoos only to find it was all closed up, despite the "open" sign.I understand it is still the quiet season, but surely a "closed" sign at the turn off from the highway would save disappointment and frustration......Why?

What a pleasant surprise to visit this area of BC. Not only is it beautiful but it is the home of so many food producers and beverage producers, many of them are going organic and natural. Orchards, produce, honey and of course, WINE!It is so pleasant to stay at the Crowsnest Vineyard and Landgasthaus. It is a German experience but in a much better place. This family run vineyard has it all, some good wines, lovely accommodation and first class food. Our room was perfect for us, 3 beds, no sharing necessary. it was clean and we had all we needed. It's easy to while away an afternoon on the deck with wine or beer and maybe an appie and just as nice to take a stroll through the vineyards and orchards. The evening menu was small and felt a little heavy to me, real German fare. I did enjoy my chicken confit though. The chef knows what he is doing.Maybe the wine might need a bit more experience but it is well on the way to being top notch.Just one note to the owners....if a pinot noir is cloudy it's probably sour and not fit to be served to guests.

Stay at a vineyard in B.C.'s beautiful Similkameen Valley. Price includes breakfast. Restaurant on premises serves classic German dishes. Try the delicious dry apple cider.
