The saltbox building belies the big range of items on this display, which during our trip included the work of a local photographer, logging history, fishing, naval and local ecology. Be warned - closes early in September until late spring.

Diverse collection of items from the history of the Masset area was very interesting. Reasonable admission price too ($3).

Stopped in on a rainy day in Masset. The host of the museum was great to talk with and very well read on the local history. As well you'll find some items for sale from well known and local Haida artistsThe museum itself is very small and just the right size for seeing and reading up on a lot of stuff from the canning days in Masset....etc.The fee for entrance is by donation I put in five dollars and because they're funded make sure to sign their visitor book as that goes towards their funds for keeping the maritime museum open.Open 5 days a week if i remember correctly and from 10am to 4pm .take a stroll through it was great.
