This is a fabulous little winery that specialises in reds. It has some lovely drops, especially the merlot and the Heritage (a Bordeaux blend) and the Cab Franc has also won awards. In fact all their wines are worth a taste as you never know what will take your fancy. The location is beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating for the warmer months overlooking the vines and the mountains. Quite picturesque. If you're lucky, you'll also get a bit of history of the area which is quite fascinating. A great winery and definitely worth the visit.

I spotted this winery on a trip through the area a few years ago and even then thought the wine was worth purchasing and keeping for awhile. I am pleased to say, my instincts were spot on. My son and daughter inlaw gave me a case for my birthday and we enjoyed every mouthful. I now purchase some of the wines at the LCB in Vancouver, but I think I will order another case soon. I like to support a relatively new winery in a new area developed by a hard working family achieving their dreams.

Had another great visit at Fort Berens winery over the holidays. We were happy that Georgia was there for our tasting, she really knows her wine and is always a pleasure to chat with! We will be back on our next visit to Lillooet for sure. Beautiful new tasting room as well!!

The new winery is very modern. Completely new building with production set apart with viewing in the tasting room. There are a couple of decent wines which are very different from the run of the mill Okanagan wines. Let's face it, wine tasting is very subjective and will have a difference that only individuals will detect. All of their wines taste just like they should, Merlot , Cabernet, Pinot Gris. A good pair of wines (Red and White) are the 23 camels. Keep them on your shelf if you must, but, I've made them a regular on my table. O, Cristal, is the best, a genuine person, not a fake by any means. Got to love her.

Who would have thought to find such a good winery right tucked away in Lilloet ? After a wonderful drive down the lake Duffy road we arrived in Lilloet which looks like something out of a fifties western. The winery there was well worth the visit. And the wine is excellent.

It has been years since we have been to Lillooet and were surprised to find an outstanding winery operating in the town.

This winery is a little gem with amazing wine and great staff! We have been going to the Lillooet area for the last 25 years, as we have a cabin up that way. We stopped at this winery last weekend, and we're so happy that we did. All of their wines were great and their staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely a must see if you are in the area!

We drove approx 5 hours to this winery and it was worth it. Stefan (I think that is his name) was a joy. He had 5 couples at the wine tasting bar and managed to entertain them all exceptionally well. Excellent knowledge of the wines also on tap. Well done! And thanks for an enjoyable afternoon. We also got to walk down into the vineyard which is a must.

We visited here in August and were most impressed with the enthusiastic staff and very good wines. We were suitably impressed by the quality of the tasting and the expertise of the South African winemaker. There was no talk of charging us for tasting unless we bought etc(although we were with a group) The surrounding fields and towering mountains are most picturesque and the drive from Whistler up the Duffy Lake Rd is stunning! Well worth a visit!

The wine was not so great. But wine like art it a personal preference. The staff, especially Stephan, was the best. He was so well informed, supper pleasant. Really good with all ages.If it's on your way definitely stop there. While we were there folks walked in just to buy wine. They new the product and loved it.Also the first few tastings are free.Enjoy

We stopped here on a recent ride along the Pemberton/Duffy Lake road. (which is fantastic by the way). The new tasting room was open and welcoming. The vineyards are an oasis of green in a dry and hot climate. We were both impressed with the Riesling and Pinot Gris as well as their other offerings. Stefan was charming as our host, and as a bonus speaks German as well. It is well worth the detour or as an excuse to go over the back roads to Whistler....

Passing through Lillooet last week for camping and remembered our friends had told us we must check out this winery as their wines were excellent. We discovered their new tasting room and what a fabulous surprise! Their wines are award wining and absolutely deserving ... Especially enjoyed their new release Merlot, The White Gold and Riesling !!, the next Burrowing Owl?!!! Host Georgia makes the visit even more sweet.

We were passing through Lillooet and remembered how well friends of ours had spoken of this place, so decided to stop in. We were a week too early for the opening of their new facility, but it's really the wine and the service that matter, and we have no complaints about those! We've been to lots of wineries in California, Oregon, Washington, France and BC, and this is the only time that we wanted to buy ALL of the wines we'd tasted. The week before we were at a few wineries in the Kelowna area, and the wine and experience here were so superior to any of those. Not that I'm a huge believer in "terroir" but given how good the wines from Fort Berens are, it would be nice if a few more wineries were to open here.

Thanks for visiting our tasting room. Indeed, we are very busy with the construction of a brand new tasting room to serve our guest better. We anticipate that the new tasting room will be open early July. We hope you will stop in soon afterwards to enjoy our new tasting room room.

They are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. You're going to have a great time at Fort Berens Winery. They will have you learning, sipping and ginning your whole trip. I'm going back.
