the royal westminster regiment historical society and museum

I grew up in this area and spent my younger years attending sea cadets on a weekly basis on this historic site! It brings back many great memories of have great times with friends of my past. I had a walk around this site just this past weekend & walked away with a smile of acknowledging my past full of fond memories!

A wonderful place to tour if you are town. I am a founding member of the museum and still never get tired of going in and visiting one of western Canada's oldest militia regiments.

This place is absolutely crammed with military memorabilia. Photos, uniforms, guns, you name it is here. Even General Montgomery's dress jacket is on display. It is more like an Aladdin's cave than a museum and maybe lacking with information on some things but still a fascinating place to spend an hour or so. Most of the exhibits have been collected and brought back from conflict areas from all over the world. It is only open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-3. Well worth a visit.
