We like stopping here, but the last time we stopped I decided to peruse through the petting zoo area. While mostly decent, I noticed one of the large birds had toenails that were so overgrown he was compensating while walking. That says to me that those nails have been overgrown for quite some time. I hate to see a display of improper animal care and it has since changed my opinion of the market. One thing that always turns me away from supporting a business is how they care for the individuals on their property, animals just as much as customers and employees.

called in to stretch our legs and get out of the car, was glad we did as the location was pleasant and the quality of the goods was great. worth a quick visit if passing by as the staff made us feel like regulars

We stopped by DeMille's daily while staying at Pierre's Pointe Campground. Fresh fruit was always available and we truly enjoyed the fresh sausages. Bison and Saskatoon was my favorite. Prices are a little on the high side.

This market is a typical tourist trap place where it seems that just about everything is priced at least 50% over what it should be (or what it is at the WalMart across the highway). There really isn't anything special on offer so don't even bother going into the market section. Spend your time on the other side of the parking lot where the petting zoo is located. It's lots of fun for the kids and it's fairly well kept and even though the place is filled with signs that the animals bite, using some common sense precautions and supervision of the little ones will result in a really good time for the whole family.

Anytime we are in Salmon arm we have to stop here, it is just a fun place to visit. You can hit up the farm animals and feed them, do the corn maze for $2, get an ice cream, visit the art store, and then proceed inside for some fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables.

We 've lived here in SA for 20+ years and always buy their yummy corn. Take the kids to petting zoo and tractors. Great local products

We stopped here to pick up some organic peaches and two freshly baked peach pies on our way back to Alberta. This is a great market with plenty to see and do if you need a rest stop. I recommend you arrive early in the day to beat the crowds. The staff were very helpful and courteous. It is always nice to meet people who genuinely love what they do!

Year after year we make a pit stop at DeMille's, on our way through and on our way back. Like any specialty produce store, the fruit and vegetables are up to standard, and lots to pick from. Our family concurs, that Kurt's Deli is the best part of the store. We had our lunch in the Petting Zoo area, outstanding this year fantastic changes. Kuto's to the lady who looks after the animals and area, and gave us suggestions to, new to us Shuswap attractions. Alabas Falls was worth the side trip.

The store hours says it closes at 9, but too often the fruit and veggies are packed up or dis-cussedly sitting in carts before closing; can the grumpy staff not wait to leave fast enough? I asked if I could see some boxes of bulk peaches, and told to come back the next day. That I did, that was the next day.

We always stop at DeMille's market on our way through Salmon Arm to get Kurt's sausages. While there, we have occasionally picked up some vegetables. However, we have had very mixed success. Three times we were deceived. Once was at Christmas, when we discovered that all of the brussell sprouts we purchsed in a sealed bag were rotten inside. The second was at a family dinner, when the beans we bought (again in a sealed bag) were so dry that we could not eat them. On our last trip through two days ago, I puchased two 10 pound boxes of blueberres, only to discover that they were all mushy and wet underneat the first layer. So - buyer beware!

DeMille's has several sections including a corn maze, ice creamery, produce shop and petting farm. The petting farm is free to wander around and $1 to buy food to feed the animals. There is a nice selection of animals there to entertain younger family members and animal lovers alike. The souvenir/ craft shop has some wonderful items, locally made and some wonderful, friendly staff. One lady there owns the Alpacas in the farm and uses their wool to make products. The prices reflect the quality of the products and the craft hours but are not overly expensive. The farm shop itself has a wonderful array of produce with the fruit looking delicious and fresh. The meat is local as well which is nice. Definitely somewhere to look around and possibly pick up a few things. Located at the end of Salmon Arm it is also a nice place to pick up something for lunch before a day out. On a previous visit many years ago I went in the corn maze and it was fantastic as the walls were high and the maze design complex. I've also heard good things about the ice cream on sale.

If you're visiting the Shuswap this is a must visit. Don't forget to grab some creamy locally made ice cream!

I had the pleasure of working there for most of my adult life.......the DeMille's were my family for 11+ years! Now that I've moved away I get to be a tourist that comes to buy all the amazing things they have there. What I miss the most is Mo's homemade soups for lunch, yum! And the blueberries, and Kurt's sausages and the farm eggs that are affordable because down here at the coast they cost a small fortune. You're very lucky Salmon Arm to have such a great place to buy really good food. And don't forget the fresh corn, and the cookies and seeing Roger ride by on his quad with the dog on the back. Fun times! Miss y'all!

the petting zoo is the best part, remember to bring $1 to buy a bag of food so you can feed the animals. There are signs all over to remind you to be careful as the animals do bite (we were not bitten), but the animals all come running to you because they know you are there to feed them. The goats are the friendliest, the ostrich was the least friendly. We found the prices in the farm market over priced (compared to others in the area) but it was a great stop for the whole family.

I love this market. We go to the Mara Lake area every year in the summer and always look forward to the trip to DeMille's Market. Nice handcrafted gifts sold as well as fresh market foods. They carry unique foods not found everywhere too and generally a large variety to choose from. Some things a bit expensive but worth it! Must see this farm market!
