A short uphill walk from the parking lot reveals a magnificent water fall, Shannon falls, well worth a visit

glorious waterfalls and only a short walk from the road. the views and picture opportunites are great (Assuming you can get a shot without people risking themselves by climbing all over the falls) the parking is adequate and there is enough information to make it worth the stopactually visited august 2013 but only just getting round to reviewing (sorry)

The falls are lovely. However it's quite a steep walk to get to the falls. It would be helpful if there were some golf buggies that could be rented for a nominal sum, so that people who are elderly or who have difficulty walking can gain access to Shannon Falls and enjoy them as much as everyone else.

Shannon falls is a beautiful waterfall right off of the sea to sky highway. It is very convenient from Vancouver, which is nice but makes it very popular. It was a bit crowded when we were there. The base of the waterfall is not far from the parking area is an easy walk. It is definitely worth visiting if you are staying in the Vancouver area, even if it is a bit crowded on the weekends.

Easy little walk upto a platform in order to pose for photos. Washroom facilities are outhouses. Just had a procedure done on my knee, and should not have been hiking, but found it very easy to do just for the photo op.

I have a wonderful view of these falls from my living room, being a Squamite and all, and I am still awestruck on a daily basis. Up close, Shannon Falls is even more amazing. I believe it is the 5th largest waterfall in N. America(forgive me if I'm wrong). And, it's just 5 minutes south of Squamish, which was number 32 on the New York Times list of " The 52 Best Places in the World to Visit in 2015". Definitely worth stopping to view, it's breathtaking. Enjoy!!!!

Waterfalls are, in my opinion, that kind of things that can put you in a daze on the first sight. Nobody can pretend to be not impressed by a waterfall. The huge mass of water that produce a loud noise makes you understand all the power of water. The Shannon falls are not an exception at all: hidden behind some trees, you will first hear the roar of the falls from far away. Afterwards, the falls will start to appear to you gradually to finally offer you an amazing show from the view platform. The only drawbacks of this waterfall is that only some point of views are accessible: a view area closer to the falls could have been a better element. However, the Shannon falls are generally very impressing and will satisfy you and all your friends or relatives. And on this precise season, because it rained a lot here, the amount of water has increased drastically what makes the waterfall even more gorgeous.

I thought the walk was plain and the falls were nothing special. If your looking for that little walk to stretch your legs then it's a good place to do so.

I've been to Shannon Falls many times. The other day I was driving up to Whistler in the rain and as I was approaching the falls I could see that the amount of water coming over the falls was incredible. It was around 10 AM and there were no cars in the parking lot. The rain just let up and so I took the seven minute walk from the parking lot to the falls. Amount of water that was coming over the falls was more than I've ever seen in the many years that I've been visiting this park.It really is awe inspiring.

Shannon Falls is a great waterfall just a few kilometres south of Squamish. The trail to the base of the falls is not far, the track loops around so that you come full circle. There is plenty of parking.

A great place to stop and take a break if you are driving from Vancouver to Whistler - any time of the year... it's free with plenty of parking and just a minute off of the road. The falls themselves are only a short hike from the parking lot - less than a half mile round trip with a slight incline - very impressive in height and because of the over abundance of moisture in the region (as in rain...) the falls are usually very 'full' rather than fluctuating throughout the year... great place for photographs if you are so inclined as the creek from falls is also very photogenic... in the summer there is also a small shop that serves ice cream and other snack items...

On our way to Whistler, we like to make a short detour to Shannon Falls. Parking is free, make sure you lock the car doors. No entrance fee, only fresh air, serene beauty and nature's symphony that money can’t buy. The great thing is you can see this falls close up and you can climb up to the top, or have a picnic there.Come and see for yourself, make sure to bring camera.Happy travelling!

We stopped for brief rest at this park along the Sea-to-Sky highway that leads to Whistler. After a week of cold weather, the waterfalls and river were covered in ice. The cold clear water rushed through glassy and frosty areas and past ice covered rocks. The spray from the falls created an icy coat along the sides. This is great stop along the highway and the short trail to the falls viewpoint is only a few minute walk. (Be aware that the restrooms are being renovated and the temporary outhouses are a bit chilly.)
