tynehead park

This is our families favorite place to go for a walk!The trail is well laid out and the scenery is nice - especially in Fall and Spring. My boys can run freely for the most part, but there are a few steep spots where we make sure to hold their hands. We've even used our double jogger through the paths here without too much difficulty.Sometimes there are warnings for Bears in the area, so be cautious!PS - Makes a GORGEOUS place for family photos. We go every October to take pictures.

This urban park in just off Highway 1 in Surrey, BC. Much of the land has not been developed but it contains a fish hatchery, stream, off leash dog area, picnic area and lots of hiking trails.

We ride here several times a year. It is a good ride for a family - broad, paved paths that run for several km. Washroom near the parking lots. Fountain for drinks.

If you are looking for a place to let your dog run for a bit off-leash, Tynehead is a decent place to do just that. It isn't a huge area, but it does allow for the dog to play in a meadow and romp through the bushes.You can walk your dogs on-leash through the fish hatchery. There aren't enough off-leash areas and this is better than most in Surrey.

Do not leave anything in your car, always windows smashed here. It has happened to eveyone I know that has parked here!

Beautiful walking park in all seasons. Large dog off-leash area. Salmon spawning streams with nature trail and viewing platforms over the river to see the fish.

This park is a treat for nature lovers. Spend your morning or evening time in secluded place with birds and small water stream. Leisure walk is quite enjoyable. Many joggers storm this for physical exercises. Dog Owners take out dog for walks, however on different circuit. Small but good place

Lots of walking in this park. The main trail loops follow and cross streams a good part of the way. Great for salmon watching in the fall. Several short but steep ups and downs could make it challenging for some with walking difficulties. Lots of well built boardwalks keep you above the boggy areas. The newly developed portion of the park to the east is paved and although it is hilly, it is more accessible. The east park also allows bicycles which aren't allowed in the main park. It also has a substantial sized loop.

Have had a couple of pleasant strolls with my family and our dog throughout the park. Will definitely go again.

A huge park with a side with dirt paths and another side with paved paths. Great for a walk, run or cycle. Only problem too many dogs off leash when they should be leashed.

We went here in April 2014 to walk the dog and do a little geocaching. This is a very nice park, with lots of walking trails. Also lots of dogs, as there are several sections designated as off leash areas.

We pikced this out of our book, 109 Walks in The Lower Mainland and were happy to have tried this park. We weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. The park offers a really nice picnic area, a hatchery, a dog off-leash area and many kilometres of trails. The trails are easy walking and are accessible to strollers and the like.We did the extended Serpintine Loop trail and enjoyed it. It was about 5 kms (it took us just over an hour and we were taking our time). Next we will do the Perimeter Trail. It is also about 5kms and we look forward to it. If you want a short walk or just want to use the amennities or see the hatchery, you do not have to walk far if you don't want to. There are several access points and many different trails.
