This hiking trail is groomed on both sections, both Southern and Northern. If that is what you are looking for then this is a very pleasant walk. The southern portion of it is very well groomed and wide enough for wheelchairs and families to walk at the same pace. The southern portion has fences blocking off the creek but it is certainly a very pleasant walk for families looking for recovered natural environment to teach the children about nature and to escape from the city. This is not a challenging hiking trail at all.

This is an amazing place of beauty and peace. My wife little girl and my self live in a home that borders this great park and trail. It is used by many and I always hear the sound of running water from my back deck and bedroom so peaceful to sleep to.You will love this walk and it is family friendly.

This is a great walk to do where you feel like you leave the city behind - even if just for a 1/2 hour.

It is hard to believe you are in the middle of a city when you are hiking this trail. The uphill portions will make sure you get a good workout while meandering along the creek. Because of the tree canopy, it is lovely and shady in the summer heat.

From Mosquito Creek Park to the William Griffin Rec Centre is a very gentle easy walking trail alongside Mosquito Creek which bubbles along its bed. Bicycle friendly, and a dog walk too. Lovely and cool and refreshing. Eco sensitive areas are fenced off. The trail continues from the top of Del Rio to Montroyal Blvd but is a little more challenging up the mountain.

The title says it all. It is really that simple. Grab a sandwich from La Galleria when you get to the village, or take one with you and sit by the creek feet in water to cool off. You can kick it up a notch by bypassing the village and keep on walking up Mosquito Creek (well marked path) and get a longer workout.

When you walk here you feel like you are a million miles away from the city- it is peaceful and quiet. Kids can play in the creek in the summer. Excellent place to walk dogs off leash. Highly recommend it.

Recently did this trail with my husband and then again with a friend. Both times were quiet considering you're in the middle of suburbia. Start either at Automall Waterfront or along Fell Avenue. Wander up as high as Queens or keep going right up to Montroyal. Another day I will continue up towards the base of Grouse. We always stop at Edgemont Village on the return trip for some form of sustenance. Greenery and creekside are zen inducing.
