If you watched the 2010 winter Olympics you would recognize the sites at Olympic Park, from the large Oylmpic rings, to the stage where the athletes got their medals, to the flame that no longer burns, close your eyes and imagine being there when millions of visitors and athletes roamed through the village. The spectacular backdrop of ski hills looms in the backround.

a great spot to visit, got chance to have a go on the rifles at the biathlon finish line (wont ever hear the end of the fact I let the mrs win - thinks she won on her own ;) ) and chat with some very knowledgeable guys.the ski slopes and rings are a great photo op and add to the growing list of Olympic parks we have visitedactually visited august 2013 but only just getting round to reviewing (sorry)

They have the Olympic Rings still standing in the park, what a great photo opportunity from something so historic! Beautiful place to relax!

If you get the chance to try your hand at the luge or bobsled, it is an really cool, once in a lifetime experience. Very thrilling and unique!

Fun ice skating although the rental skates are extremely painful. Take your own. It is such a lovely fun time.

It was a spectacular sunny day and we went snowshoeing. It was interesting to see where the olympics took place. Admission is $10.

Whistler is beautiful! There are so many things that I can't remember everything. The stores, gift shops and restaurantes have an amazing old style look. You can take the gondola peak-to-peak and reach the top of the two mountains and have an amazing view up there. The Inukshuks are there. Also, ir you are interested in skiing, there is the place. The food is really good, especially in Moguls Coffee House, White you can taste a local coffee and hot chocolate. The 5 dollar restaurant El Furniture Warehouse is fantastic! Delicious sandwiches for 5 dollar only! The perfect place to stop and have a snack.

Thank-you for your feedback, Bob & Shelia.I'm sorry you did you have a great experience. We think that you might not have continued far enough along the road to see the full-service Daylodge with plenty of (cleared) parking available daily, as well as the biathlon range where the Olympic shooting range is in short walking distance. This was an outdoor venue of the Olympic Winter Games, so winter footwear is recommended in snowy conditions, and the venue today is a fully functioning cross-country and snowshoe destination. We will remind our guest services staff at the main gate to give more accurate directions/information on where to go/what there is to see and what there is to do, like for example free tobogganing/toboggan and helmet rental included in car fee.We are a non-profit organization, so the gate fee for recreational visitors is contributing towards the operation of our venues for athletes to train, and the growth of sport in Canada!Warm regards,Deanna

Went for a walk around the Biathlon circuit and the dog walking trails - on a clear day it was brilliant and nobody around made it even better - just me and my thoughts, great scenery and quiet.

I tried the Bobsledding experience and i think everyone should! What a rush! 127km/h lasting 40 seconds on the 2010 Olympics run, absolutely amazing experience!

The Whistler Olympic Park at the Callahans is a beautyful place, with beautyful trails and scennary. If you like to snowshoe or crosscountry ski, this is a place you must visit while in Whistler.

We were there is the summer and it was a hive of activity with cafes and people just enjoying being outside. There Are plenty of little shops and restaurants around that you can pop into but I am sure most people are there to have their photographs taken in and around the Olympic Rings. This area is important because it shows you how people who believed they could hold the Olympics achieved their dream. Very symbolic.

This is a great place to spend a few days. We stayed for three days and had a blast. We went on two Gondola rides and hiked up the mountains. At night we'd sit at the local pub and actually watch bears up on the mountain.

I don't know if it is different in the winter but there really isn't much to do there in the summer and no real good views, hiking or activities worth doing in my opinion. I'm a big fan of Whistler but this was the one activity that didn't meet or surpass my expectations.

we went up for Thanksgiving and boy is it cold up in the village right now but they do have the Olympic park done up beautifully with lights. It is very holiday looking right now and cozy. I loved it and dress really warm!!
