Great tour very knowledgeable with a great atmosphere. We were running a little bit late and with a quick phone call they were nice enough to delay the tour and wait for us! It was greatly appreciated. It was def a nice way to spend the afternoon off of the lifts.

Took the bus from Whistler to do a short hike to the train wreck art and visit this brewery. We were not disappointed. The Valley Trail Chestnut Ale has become a new favorite along with their seasonal brew. The pub atmosphere was family friendly with lots of locals hanging out there after work. Food was pub quality and the pretzels were a hit with the teens.

We had terrible weather in Whistler during our 2 week stay and opted for the brewery tour one day. It was very educational and the beer was fantastic. Wish I could've brought a keg of Chestnut Ale home with me!!!

We went to the Whistler Brewing Company after a long day at the slopes. My husband loves beer and brews his own. When we went to talk to the bartender about the different types of brews he didn't seem interested in talking. When we asked what beers we should get he said everything is good. Any time that we asked for anything it seemed as if we were bothering him. We racked up a hefty bill with merchandise and drinks but didn't get a welcoming feeling at all. I would recommend their beer but I would have grabbed a six pack and drank it my hotel than feel unwelcomed.

Love the chestnut beer! Cask nights are good with live music. Food is good pub food. Staff are always friendly. Definitely a place to go to when visiting and worth the trip down to Function Junction.

When you know someone who lives in a town, they can usually give you some good tips of things to see.Our guide and chauffeuse not only knew the guy who acted as guide but also knew of our fondness for beer so a trip to The Whistler Brewing Company had to be.Having been in the town for some time we were aware of prowess of this small brewery so we ventured down the hill to Function Junction where much of the spadework supporting the "Whistler bubble" is performed. An unprepossessing industrial unit houses the magic and a bar and retail area. Our guide was welcoming, friendly, informative and entertaining and the tour was a pleasant experience, especially the copious supply of samples to relieve the arduous 20 metre trek it took to view and have explained the brewing process, the philosohy and history of the enterprise.Repairing to the bar, we decided that the "Lost Lake IPA" was our favourite closely follwed by the "Honey Bear Lager" had some more then took two growlers back to share with our hosts later. For any afficionados this would be a must and we can heartily recommend it.

Whistler Brewing Company is a little out of town, located in "Function Junction" which is basically a business park just off the Sea to Sky highway. Because of this location, it keep short evening hours for a bar. But despite both of these slight negatives, it's well worth a visit. Why? Because the beer is great and the food is good. And you can buy their great beer in bottles or growlers to take home with you. For me the picks of a good bunch of beers were the Bear Paw Honey Lager and the Paradise Valley Grapefruit Ale. But the others were decent too.The setting is a light-industrial unit, with a huge roller shutter door that they open up in summertime to create a nice al fresco dining environment. You can get close to the outdoors with a bar-table they have right up against the entranceway, but due to Canada's seemingly ridiculous licensing laws, you can't take a beer onto the pleasant patio area out front of the unit. When I was there first time, the place was pretty busy, and staff were pleasant, attentive and polite, and the service was fast and efficient. Second time it was a lot quieter, but the service was just as good. The menu is not extensive, but both meals I had their were tasty, filling and great value. If you just want to try WBC's great beers, you'll find them sold in bars and restaurants all over Whister and the surrounding area. But if you want some good filling, value food, in a casual pleasant environment away from the "Disneyfied" atmosphere of Downtown Whistler - the WBC is well worth a stop. A great day for XC mountain bikers is to ride to WBC for lunch across the Flank Trail which takes you from from downtown Whistler right to their door. The climb will build an appetite, and you'll also get some incredible views to Whistler across Alta Lake.

I visited the Whistler Brewing Company (WBC) along my road trip through the Canadian Rockies. I also had the opportunity to visit the Jasper Brewing Company and Banff Avenue Brewing Company for comparison, and WBC holds its own! I'd say that the brewery had some nice lighter, yet flavorful brews that held my attention. The two that keep me seated at the bar to quench my thirst were the Bear Paw Honey Lager and the Paradise Valley Grapefruit Ale. The latter I chose as my go-to for its crisp sweet grapefruit flavor.Although off the main action of Whistler, WBC is worth a visit and taste!

We did a road trip up to Whistler while staying in Vancouver. We stopped by Whistler Brewing Co. because we had tried some of their brews the night before. I am a HUGE fan of the Bearpaw Honey Ale. Wish I could buy it here! Overall brewery is fun, and has a nice patio. It's a pretty typical brewery stop, but the beer is great! It's a little off the beaten path in Whistler, but it's not far. If you in the area, it's worth a visit!

We stopped here for a quick pint after the Train Wreck Hike. We were a party of four and sampled most of their offerings . It was a great place to refresh after a hike

If you are going to just one place in Whistler village for dinner, the WBC should be your choice. The west coast menu is top notch and the ambience of the restaurant is really outstanding. It is upscale but not too high class, everyone has a good time there.

We managed to get onto the tour without a reservation. Anna was very friendly and gave us some beer samples whilst we waited for the tour to start (some customers were running late). The tour was very informative, but more importantly the beer samples were delicious! We stayed a while after the tour and got to try the then yet to be released Chai Maple Ale, which was very good.We left very jolly and stumbled around the nearby food shop before getting the bus back into town.I do wish that we had stayed and had food at the brewery.

My partners favorite beer is Whistler beer, so when we found the actual brewery, we had to go. What a great surprise it was to find the reasonable prices and good food to boot. Next time we will take in the tour.

We tried a couple of whistler brewing companies beers while at some of the local restaurants but they are not really pushed as most of the pubs have agreements with major brewers. We found the whiskey jack and the black tusk really quite good, tasty, different and not your usual generic beers. So it was raining and as we were near the end of the day we decided to drop by. In a small industrial area just down the road from Creekside a small brewery occupies a few of the units. Nothing special about the location, just a casual spot, nothing avant garde, more industrial but with good seating. The attraction is the beer, good variety of beers and reasonable ptrices to try them out. Great way to spend a couple of hours and to try some craft beers away from the corporate feel of many of whistler s bigger restaurants. Also checkout the bakery next door, it has superior baked goods, not cheap but again, some thing special.

This pub was cozy, we sat near the fireplace. The server was very friendly. The place was clean and had a nice decor. It is located right in Whistler Village. The food was pretty good but expensive. We have found that everything in Whistler is double the price so be prepared to spend a fortune here. If you are on a budget you may want to stick to McDonalds or buying groceries to make your own meals.
