I have never seen something this peaceful and beautiful anywhere in Canada. :) From the large spread of food at brunch, to the large fireplace, the little tables around it… I love it and go back as much as I can. It is one of the happiest places I know, at any time of the year.

Parked for just over an hour and was charged $17.25 and there is nowhere else to park. Went there for lunch, but won't be going back with that kind of charge. Classier places have validation, so that if you have stopped for lunch you don't have to pay for parking. Pretentious nonsense.

Knee deep in snow, minus 25 outside, but fabulous big fire inside with a welcome to match. We weren't able to eat in the bar unfortunately, so had to have the restaurant food. Which was a shame. They could really do better. However everyone enjoyed the visit and would go again, having learned from the experience!

All one needs to know about the charm of Fairmont's Montebello can be summed up in two words: Adirondack Chair. On a sweltering July day, a comfy seat on the Ottawa Riverbank with cool breeze and gorgeous view is damned near perfect. That, together with the majesty of this monumental log lodge, fine beds and linens, decent bathrooms and myriad sporting activities render a fantastic vacation spot -- especially for active families.So, ok, the place is a little worn around the edges and smells of mustiness and cresosote. Our corner room was spacious, all right, but dark and sparing with a promised river view. The wallpaper was peeling and the carpets need replacing. There's no turn-down service and the food service is spotty. That said, however, Montebello is amazing. Worth coming to again and again in all seasons.

The 3 storey historic stone fireplace is an awesome way to warm up after a long winter. Lobby bar is a great place to relax and send the kids off to the arcade to play some games.

Fairmont Le Chateau is one of popular attraction in Montebello. If you visit Montebello, please visit Fairmont Hotel. You can stroll forests and along the Ottawa river and then have a drink at the hotel bar looking the gorgerous lobby, people and listening the live piano music.

Fantastic hotel, lots of things to see and do. Worth dropping in just to look at this log cabin hotel. Shaped like a star it has been home to international conferences.Can be pricey but worth at least one actual stay just for the experiences. Great activities both summer and winter

I visited the Chateau Montebello yesterday for the first time and while the hotel structure and atmosphere were lovely and welcoming, the service on the contrary, was quite unimpressive.We were passing by from Ottawa on our way to Montreal and we decided to stop for some refreshements at the bar in the lobby area. The waiter never came to take our order at the table, so I decided to go to the bar to order. The waiter didn't bother making an effort to help me take our drinks back to our table. Expressos were cold and we noticed the table next to us being served promptly after, when we had been blatantly ignored by the waiter before. Overall, I was quite dismayed with the lack of hospitality at the bar and am certain I will be looking for other accomodations if I ever plan to stay in Montebello. Furthermore, I will make sure I share this unpleasant experience with colleagues, friends and family .... first impressions are crucial!!!

Restoranında yemek yedik, iç mekan da en az dışı gibi görkemli, tümüyle ahşaptan yapılmış. otelinde kalmayı çok isterdim ama programımız uygun değildi. Yemek yedik, o çok güzel bahçesinden görüntüler alma fırsatımız oldu. Sanki bir resim yapmışlar, muhteşem bir bahçenin ve manzaranın ortasına bu görkemli oteli koymuşlar. Hayran kaldım, bahçesinden ve lobisinden bir kaç fotoğraf eklemek istiyorum. Bu otelde kalmak bence bir ayrıcalık olmalı.

Maestoso, elegante, massiccio, non caro rispetto a cio' che e' e che rappresenta. Da provare.Veramente imponente l' ingresso con gigantesco camino al centro.Nota il parcheggio esterno e' a pagamanto 5$.

Incroyable cet immense hotel entièrement en bois noir ( il a fallu 1200 wagons de bois ). Si vous n'avez pas les moyens d'y loger encore que la chambre ne soit qu'à 180 dollars, allez boire un verre dans l'immense foyer où se dresse une cheminée hexagonales aux 5 foyers qui monte les trois étages jusqu'au toit. Impressionnant. ET les portiers sont très aimables vous annonçant que si vous consommez, votre parking sera remboursé..
