This was in the Entertainment Book so thought we'd stop for lunch, especially as we had a nice response from our Facebook query on whether they were pet friendly. Langhorne Creek is really a hidden gem and not one of the more prominent wine regions in South Australia, but it's a good secret! We were the only ones there on a Tuesday before Christmas. Had a tasting to choose our wine for lunch. Bother. We loved them all. Settled in and ordered the pie and the coorong mullet (from the specials board). While waiting some people we used to work with wandered in so they joined us for a while. Meals were lovely. The pie was chockers with tender meat, although chips were a bit white. Coorong Mullet didn't have any complaints. The winery is a member of Eat Local so plenty of local produce used. Worth a pitstop.

Came for wine tasting. Didn't order any food as we already had lunch, but the food did look yum. Owners Phil and Judy were serving at the cellar door. Lovely warm reception. Excellent value red wines. Highly recommend a visit.

I've had the joy of playing here as a musician on several occasions. Great set up and lovely room. Sits a lot of people. The food and wine are both of a superior quality and the staff are just lovely. Get on down to a Sunday music session where it all happens. The best way to enjoy a good afternoon of fine music, wine and food!

This is the first cellar door you encounter when driving from Strathalbyn into the Langhorne Creek region and it is a fantastic start to a 'Creek visit. Exceptional quality and very friendly, helpful and informative staff ensure a great wine tasting visit. Prices are reasonable. Would happily return on the next visit to Langhorne Creek - this one's a gem!

We spent a simply wonderful public holiday afternoon. Great wines great food and just warm and friendly hosts, we will be back.

Stopped here for coffee and scones - both very nice. The fortified wine was alsi very nice. It was very relaxing sitting outside under the shadecloth overlooking the vines.

Recently visited Angas Plains Winery for lunch and a tasting. The atmosphere in the dining room was delightful with chattering and laughing from each table along with the warm fire. The menu was quite surprising with a good selection of foods at reasonable prices. My group shared the grazing platter as an entrée and then for mains i had a delicious pumpkin and rocket pizza. The others had lamb shanks and the pie and said they were wonderful. What a relaxing day enjoying views over the vines and sipping great wines. If you are a food and wine lover, Angas Plains is definitely the place to be.

We went on a Cudo Voucher during the week where we had wine to taste first & the one we liked the best was a good sized glass with our Tapas which turned out to be a delicious lunch. The young lady on her own made the lunch while still serving a couple who came in for tasteing of there wines. We had a flat white each which was the best i had had for ages. The only thing is that next time we go we will go at the weekend as we were for the hour & half most time on our own.

Went for a tasting and stayed for a delicious lunch. Demi was friendly,knowledgable and a charming host. PJ sparkling is outstanding. Purchasedseveral bottles.

We went here on recommendation of visitors from Perth, not sure how they found it but they enjoyed the food and wine immensely, (I have heard from them they have had more wine sent over the border).I had a special of the day & my wife had the Tapas, she commented at the time she glad someone had finally done a Tapas platter style with variety. She loved the quality and mix. My twice cooked pork belly was exceptional.I went back with friends from Sydney last week who were staying on the Fleurieu, I couldn't wait to try the home cooked beef pie and wasn't disappointed. Their flagship wines are a little more expensive ($40) than average but the quality is worth the extra price when dining.Have had two great days weather wise when visiting with the cafe blinds up so got the best of the views.Definately worth the short drive from Strath.

We went for lunch at the Angas Plains wine, enticed by a special offer that gave you a discount on a plate of tapas.First,the positives:it's a great location, out in the countryside,surrounded by vines.There's an inside bar and a restaurant,with an outdoor seating area in the shade. We were part of a large group and everyone voted the wines delicious and quite reasonably priced for the quality on offer. The waiting staff,when we saw them, were pleasant and helpful.Now for the negatives. Nobody took any notice of our arrival,despite the fact that we'd booked. We found the table for ourselves and then members of our party went into the bar to order. They were ignored for a full 10 minutes while the owner chatted to a group who were having a wine tasting session. It took fully half an hour just to place our order and be served with a glass of wine.We then waited another half hour for the "tapas" to be brought out though this turned out to be a mixture of Italian, Greek and Japanese dishes. This turned out to be merely a basket of warmed bread, a small dish of olive oil, a small dish of dukkah and about a dozen olives - altogether a meagre helping for 6 people. Everything was of good quality but there was simply insufficient oil for the quantity of bread provided.After a further half hour wait, we were then brought small plates containing one small prawn dumpling,one chicken skewer and one small filo pastry containing spinach and feta per person. This is simply not value for money even at the discounted price and if we'd been paying the full price of $20 per head for this, I would have been distinctly upset. The service was very disorganised and I just don't understand why it took the kitchen so long to produce relatively simple dishes which had in any case, been pre-booked.So,do go if you want to sample good wines at reasonable prices in a lovely setting,but beware of eating there. And they really need to do something about their customer care.

We went 8 adults and lots of little children to Angus Plains on a Sunday following the purchase of a Spreets deal or two. The deal was a glass of wine and a tapas sharing plate. We got lost on the way there - note there are two sections to Angas Plain Road but were impressed with the tranquil location on arrival. It is beautiful set in the middle of vines. The eating area is outside in a covered area with cafe blinds. Highchairs were provided for the children and it was a lovely place to be. With a grass area for the kids to play on in front of the eating area. The wine I thought was great and at 17 to 20 dollars per bottle reasonably priced for a winery. The sparlkling red and brick shiraz particularly good. The owner Peter was friendly and chatty. He said they were busy that day - Presumerably due to the Spreets deal. There were around 25 other people there at the time. The food consisted of ciabatta, bread and dukkah, followed by a plate which included a chicken skewer, prawn dumpling and a spinach and feta pastry. It took a long time to arrive and overpriced at 40 dollars a plate. It also wasn't Tapas. The combination of Asian and Mediterranean flavours on a plate was slightly odd. I would reccomend Angus Plains. The location and wine were lovely. I wouldn't have the tapas again.
